问题 I am trying to migrate my local TFS server to http://tfs.visualstudio.com/. My goal is to preserve code history, work items and etc. Does this feature exists and if it how to use it? 回答1: I've used the TFS Integration Platform to migrate between two TFS servers. The one issue you might run into is the check-in dates are reset to the day of the migration (basically what you are doing is checking in all of the code), but the original check-in date is recorded in the check-in comments. 回答2: I

Is there any way to migrate a git repository to TFS with all it's history like versions, branches and push messages? Now the source is on Github and I want to migrate that to my local TFS repository. The Branches in TFS are mapped to folders, which doesn't easily convert from the way branches work in Git. Grabbing one branch and pushing that, with history to TFS should be possible though. You'll have to use Git tf checkin --deep See: http://blog.simontimms.com/2013/04/02/importing-a-git-repository-into-tfs/ If you want to migrate to TFS the easiest migration path is to TFS 2013 or Visual

How do I migrate a Mercurial (Hg) source code repository to TFS?

This seems to be the opposite of what most people are trying to do. I want to export all of the changesets from a Mercurial (Hg) repository and import them into Team Foundation Server 2010 and include the history. I can't be the only one going to TFS, right? It looks like I might be able to export from Hg to Git and then Git to TFS. Is there a better way? 问题 I read everything about the upgrade process from TFS 2008 to 2012. but my situation is a bit diffrent. I need to move data from tfs 2008 (sqlserver 2003) to tfs 2012 (sqlserver 2008 R2) without damaging the TFS 2012 data. what is the best practice? Adding some issues: I am trying to be as cautious as possible without damaging any of the data. So I have: 1. old server TFS 2008 with sqlserver 2005 which is being used 2 demo server with TFS 2012 and sqlserver 2008 R2 with some collections and

Complicated TFS 2017 Upgrade

I wish to upgrade my current TFS 2015.3 instance to 2017. It's not going to be quite as easy as advertised, however, due to some complicating factors. My scenario appears to be undocumented. I'll be installing a new domain controller (moving from Server Essentials 2012 R2 to Server Essentials 2016). The current OS is Server 2012 R2; I will be upgrading this as well, to Server 2016 (a clean install to a new VM). Both of these new VMs must retain the same NETBIOS names as before. The current SQL Server instance is 2014; I will be upgrading this as well, to SQL Server 2016. The SQL Server
