Error while running MPI cluster program in LAN

问题 Getting error while running MPI cluster program in a LAN environment. I have created a master and other clients in a local LAN environment. I follow this tutorial to create a cluster and runs it, Running an MPI Cluster with in LAN mpiuser@507-12 :~/cloud/mpich-3.0.4/examples$ mpirun -np 4 -hosts 192.168.100.77, 192.168.100.78 ./icpi mpirun: Error: unknown option "-o" Type 'mpirun --help' for usage. It's saying that we should use proper tags while writing the command and then it will work. But

问题 I have successfully configured mpi with mpi4py support across three nodes, as per testing of the hellowworld.py script in the mpi4py demo directory: gms@host:~/development/mpi$ mpiexec -f machinefile -n 10 python ~/development/mpi4py/demo/helloworld.py Hello, World! I am process 3 of 10 on host. Hello, World! I am process 1 of 10 on worker1. Hello, World! I am process 6 of 10 on host. Hello, World! I am process 2 of 10 on worker2. Hello, World! Odd-Even Transposition Sort with Strings MPI C++

问题 I'm trying to implement an Odd-Even transposition sort with strings, working around the fact that MPI doesn't have a definition for strings. #include <iostream> #include <cstdlib> #include <ctime> #include <cmath> #include <string> #include <mpi/mpi.h> const int MAX = 2; using namespace std; int main(int argc, char **argv) { int rank, size; MPI_Status status; string array[MAX] = {"foobar1","foobar2"} ; int i, count; int A, B; string value[MAX]; double startTime, endTime; srand(time(NULL));

MPI_Gather: Segmentation fault in Master Slave Program

问题 Following is a simple program where all Slaves process send their rank (as the token) to the Master process. The program when executed runs correctly most of the times but raises Segmentation Fault the others. int token = rank; vector<int> recvData(world_size); MPI_Gather(&token, 1, MPI_INT, &recvData[0], 1, MPI_INT, 0, MPI_COMM_WORLD); if(rank == 0) { // Root process for (int irank = 1; irank < world_size; irank++) { cout << "Token received from rank " << irank << " = " << recvData[irank] <<

Segmentation fault while using MPI_Barrier in `libpmpi.12.dylib`

问题 I install mpich using brew install mpich , but if I use MPI_Barrier , I will get segmentation fault. See the simple code below: // A.c #include "mpi.h" #include <stdio.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { int rank, nprocs; MPI_Init(&argc,&argv); MPI_Comm_size(MPI_COMM_WORLD,&nprocs); MPI_Comm_rank(MPI_COMM_WORLD,&rank); MPI_Barrier(MPI_COMM_WORLD); printf("Hello, world. I am %d of %d\n", rank, nprocs);fflush(stdout); MPI_Finalize(); return 0; } mpicc A.c -g -O0 -o A After running mpirun -n 2

MPI_Send and MPI_Recv

问题 I installed MPICH2 to two computers ( 'suaddell' and 'o01' ) with Windows 7 operating system. I use VC++ Express Edition 2008 for compiling. Everything is good. I can run simple "Hello World" MPI applications in both hosts. But when I try to run simple MPI_Send and MPI_Recv applications, the program does not end, it hangs. I can see it runs without end on my computer and remote host by using Resource Monitor. If I press "Ctrl+C", it is ended and it displays below message, it pretends that

MPICH communication failed

问题 I have a simple MPICH program in which processes send & receive messages from each other in a Ring order. I've setup to 2 identical virtual machine, and made sure network is working fine. I've tested a simple MPICH program both machines and it works fine. The problem arises when I try to communicate between processes on different machines like the above program. I'm getting the following error: Fatal error in MPI_Send: A process has failed, error stack: MPI_Send(171)...............: MPI_Send

bash: /usr/bin/hydra_pmi_proxy: No such file or directory

问题 I am struggling to set up an MPI cluster, following the Setting Up an MPICH2 Cluster in Ubuntu tutorial. I have something running and my machine file is this: pythagoras:2 # this will spawn 2 processes on pythagoras geomcomp # this will spawn 1 process on geomcomp The tutorial states: and run it (the parameter next to -n specifies the number of processes to spawn and distribute among nodes): mpiu@ub0:~$ mpiexec -n 8 -f machinefile ./mpi_hello With -n 1 and -n 2 it runs fine, but with -n 3, it

问题 I wish to multi-cast to a group of no more than 4 machines, does MPI_bcast still save a lot of time over multiple uni-casts (bearing in mind that my group size is small)? I have written the following function to create a new communicator given the number of machines and ranks of those machines. void createCommunicator(MPI_Comm *NGBRS_WORLD, int num_ngbrs, int *ngbrs_ranks) { MPI_Group NGBRS_GROUP, MPI_COMM_GROUP; int ret = MPI_Comm_group(MPI_COMM_WORLD, &MPI_COMM_GROUP); printf("RETURNED %d\n

问题 Super EDIT: Adding the broadcast step, will result in ncols to get printed by the two processes by the master node (from which I can check the output). But why? I mean, all variables that are broadcast have already a value in the line of their declaration!!! (off-topic image). I have some code based on this example. I checked that cluster configuration is OK, with this simple program, which also printed the IP of the machine that it would run onto: int main (int argc, char *argv[]) { int rank
