Yarn mini-cluster container log directories don't contain syslog files

问题 I have setup YARN MapReduce mini-cluster with 1 node manager, 4 local and 4 log directories and so on based on hadoop 2.3.0 from CDH 5.1.0. It looks more or less working. What I failed to achieve is syslog logging from containers. I see container log directories, stdout and stderr files but not syslog with MapReduce container logging. Appropriate stderr warns I have no log4j configuration and contains no any other string: log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (org.apache.hadoop

How is logback's “prudent mode” implemented?

问题 The prudent mode in logback serializes IO operations between all JVMs writing to the same file, potentially running on different hosts. In other logging frameworks, logging to a central TCP (or JMS) appender seems to be the only solution if output from many loggers should go to the same file. As I am using a Delphi library which is based on log4j and also can not log to the same file from different instances of the same applications (on a terminal server), it would be interesting to know how

spark streaming application and kafka log4j appender issue

I am testing my spark streaming application, and I have multiple functions in my code: - some of them operate on a DStream[RDD[XXX]], some of them on RDD[XXX] (after I do DStream.foreachRDD). I use Kafka log4j appender to log business cases that occur within my functions, that operate on both DStream[RDD] & RDD it self. But data gets appended to Kafka only when from functions that operate on RDD -> it doesn't work when I want to append data to kafka from my functions that operate on DStream.

Excessive console messages from Kafka Producer

问题 How do you control the console logging level of a Kafka Producer or Consumer? I am using the Kafka 0.9 API in Scala. Every time send on the KafkaProducer is called, the console gives output like below. Could this indicate I do not have the KafkaProducer set up correctly, rather than just an issue of excessive logging? 17:52:21.236 [pool-10-thread-7] INFO o.a.k.c.producer.ProducerConfig - ProducerConfig values: compression.type = none metric.reporters = [] metadata.max.age.ms = 300000 . . . 17

Log4j logging directly to elasticsearch server

I'm a bit confused on how can I put my log entries directly to elasticsearch (not logstash). So far I found a few appenders ( log4j.appender.SocketAppender , log4j.appender.server etc.) that allow to send logs to remote host and also ConversionPattern possibility that seems to allow us to convert logs to "elastic-friendly" format, but this approach looks freaky... or do I mistake? Is this the one way to send logs to elastic ? So far I have a such config: log4j.rootLogger=DEBUG, server log4j

问题 I have a log4j.properties file in the classpath. It was found at the location APP/XX.jar/log4j.properties. And I noticed that in the ear file I can also find log4j-1.2.17.jar in lib folder. But whatever I wrote in the log4j.properties file, they were ignored. Like: log4j.rootCategory=WARN Or something like this: log4j.rootCategory=INFO, A1 log4j.appender.A1=org.apache.log4j.ConsoleAppender log4j.logger.org.springframework=WARN But all of the loggings will still be printed on the server. System . exit (1)。 catch。finally。 throw。 ArithmeticException。 ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException 。 NullPointerException。 ClassNotFoundException。 IllegalArgumentException。
