I found several tutorials using AppCmd ADD SITE which works very well. By running :: c:\scripts\createIIS.bat youdomainname.com . 问题 Is it possible to use appcmd to change the value of allowDefinition? Specifically I'm try to enable changes to the httpCompression module at the application level. Modifying the applicationHost.config by manually changing the following line: <section name="httpCompression" allowDefinition="AppHostOnly" overrideModeDefault="Deny" /> To <section name="httpCompression" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" overrideModeDefault="Allow" /> allows me to then execute the following appcmd commands:

I'm getting the following error message: The term 'appcmd' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. At line:1 char:7 Appcmd.exe exists at the location %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\ . You either need to udpate your PATH variable to add the path %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\ like SET PATH=%PATH%;%systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\ or you can use Set-Location to first go to the location of Appcmd.exe like Set-Location %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\

How do I change the physical path of web site in IIS7 with APPCMD?

I need to change the physical path of a web site through the command line via the appcmd.exe tool, but I can't figure out the syntax. Can someone help? This is how you should do: C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv> appcmd set vdir "MySite/" -physicalPath:"C:\inetpub\temp" Note: "MySite/" is a name of your virtual directory so if your virtual directory is under default web site you're likely have to set "Default Web Site/MySite/" As for figuring out how to do other appcmd commands just type: appcmd set vdir /? and you'll get all the info on what you can do to set your virtual directory. 问题 I have a SignalR solution that is deployed to an Azure Web Role (cloud service, not Azure Web Site) and in order to ensure we can maximise the number of connections to each instance I need to make some changes various ASP.NET settings as detailed in this article: http://www.asp.net/signalr/overview/performance/signalr-performance#tuning The appConcurrentRequestLimit and requestQueueLimit settings were easily changed with a startup task that uses APPCMD to make the relevant changes. However,

I have used appcmd to create websites on my local computer. There doesn't appear to be a server parameter which means that i have to remote desktop on to each machine that i'm deploying to and run the appcmd command. Also, can i use appcmd to deploy to IIS 6.0? If not, how do i deploy to remote IIS 6.0 web servers? I've tried the iisweb.vbs but i can't get it to run on my windows 7 computer because it can#t find the Microsoft.cmdlib. I have tired registering this file but it doesn't make a difference. Using psexec.exe from sysinternals has worked for me to run appcmd on the IIS7 host from my

Can you advise me whether it is possible or not to assign a SSL Certificate to a website in IIS7 using the APPCMD application? I am familiar with the command to set the HTTPS Binding appcmd set site /site.name:"A Site" /+bindings.[protocol='https',bindingInformation='*:443:www.mysite.com'] and how to obtain current mappings %windir%\system32\inetsrv\Appcmd but can not seem to find any way to map a site to a certificate (say the certificates hash for example) The answer is to use NETSH. For example netsh http add sslcert ipport=0.0.0.0:443 certhash='baf9926b466e8565217b5e6287c97973dcd54874'
