Registration free COM: VB6 Executable referencing VB6 DLL

问题 So, I've got a single VB6 executable that references multiple VB6 COM DLLs. Is it possible for me to generate, on-the-fly, a manifest for the executable as well as a manifest for each of the referenced DLLs? If so, then how? I would like to perform this operation as part of our build process without having to register the COM DLLs as part of the process. NOTE: All the reg-free COM examples that I've found so far involve .NET interop, which is not a requirement for what I'm doing. [EDIT] After

Registration-Free COM Interop and Dependent Assemblies

问题 We are working on an integration of a large MFC-based application with a handful of managed (.NET) add-ins. Communication with these add-ins is done via COM. Historically, we've just used the registry to make these add-ins available (as COM servers) to the application. But, now we're trying to use registration-free COM interop to do this. We'd like these add-ins to be able to live in a separate directory from the one that the application is running in -- ideally anywhere. But, we're

问题 I think I need to create a manifest file for MSCOMCTL.ocx to use in my VB6 application (reg free) I will also need to update/create the .res file Then I will need to use ManifestCreatorII It has been a few years (2017) and I have forgotten the steps and cannot find my old notes. I ~remember how to work with the NSI to generate the install package. Without this, I cannot get my applications to run on a new Win 10 PC. My Development PC is a virtual PC running Windows XP (32bit) Service Pack 3.

问题 In not so recent years, I have added Configuration forms to some of my VB6 programs. Tab controls are pretty handy to group different categories for the various configurations to be managed. My Development PC is a virtual PC running Windows XP (32bit) Service Pack 3. I am programming with Visual Basic 6.0 (SP6). It turns out that other user's PCs, not used for VB6 Programming Development and with newer versions of Windows, do not immediately understand what to do with this 'new fangled' Tab
