Can't connect to MySQL server on 'ipaddress' (110)

So I have a PHP file hosted on Namecheap server. $db=mysql_connect ("ipaddress", "user", "pass") or die ('I cannot connect to the database because: ' . mysql_error()); and it gives this error: I cannot connect to the database because: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'ipaddress' (110) I CAN connect to this DB using mysql workbench outside of the network just fine. I have experienced this issue. What I did was use the internet address instead of your public IP/DNS. Since, I'm using Linux I do ifconfig and you will see inet addr: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and use that IP as your host instead of the public

IIS 7 500 Error When Accessing Virtual Folders

I'm having an issue with IIS, attempting to reach a virtual folder path. My application (.Net 3.5 SP1, MVC 1.0) generates reporting results files that land via a virtual path on a Unix based vfiler (I think the target is a NetApp appliance). When my users attempt to access the reports via an http request through IIS (Hosted on WinServ 2k8 R2 64-bit), they receive the following 500 error: Log Name: Application Source: ASP.NET 2.0.50727.0 Date: 3/14/2012 1:07:20 PM Event ID: 1185 Task Category: File Monitoring Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: %APPLICATION_SERVER% Description:

I'm using Python 2.6 and Windows Server 2008 . The server has two IP addresses 1 internal, 1 external . I need Python to use the external IP address, but while doing so I get this: socket.error: [Error 10049] The requested address is not valid in its context To be more precise I'm using Django's runserver command for who is familiar with it Edit: ipconfig only brings up the internal IP address, while all services I have running are using the external IP without any problems! Any ideas? That's an error Windows gives when you're trying to bind to an address on the local machine that's not

Creating a process in a non-zero session from a service in windows-2008-server?

I was wondering if there is a simple way for a service to create a process in user session? My service is running as a user(administrator) account and not as a LocalSystem acount, therefore i can't use the WTSQueryUserToken function. i have tried calling OpenProcessToken(GetCurrentProcess,TOKEN_ALL_ACCESS,TokenHandle); but when i use this token to run CreateProcessAsUser(TokenHandle,.....) my process is still running in session 0. how can i resolve this issue? I'm using an Ole automation so i don't really care on which session the process will be running on, as long it is not the session 0 -

Background: I am updating an internal application to a two-step authentication process. I want to add a client certificate authentication process (via a smart card) on top of a traditional username/password form. The application is written in C#, hosted on IIS7, and targeting Chrome and IE8. Problem: I am having issues with getting the application to prompt the user for a client certificate. I have been debugging the application with the help of Fiddler. When I have a test client certificate saved in Fiddler's user's directory (C:\Documents and Settings\USER\My Documents\Fiddler2), the

How to use a 32 bit COM object on Windows Server 2008 (works on 2008 R2 but non 2008)

I am using the default DllSurrogate to enable automation of a 32bit COM object in 64bit. This works perfectly in Windows7 64 bit and Windows Server 2008 R2. However; regular flavor Windows Server 2008 (pre R2) completely ignores the DllSurrogate entry in the registry. I've researched this for days and found documentation that classic Windows Server 2008 had registry reflection which ignores the DllSurrogate value if its blank. (I leave the value of the registry string blank to use the default Surrogate.) To work around this not-reflected (not copied between 32bit and 64bit registries), I run
