Hosting Mercurial HG via VisualSVN Server

I have tried to host a Mercurial HG repository using a Scriptalias. ScriptAlias /hg/ "htdocs/hgwebdir.cgi" If I go to Chrome it display the contents of the cgi file. In IE it does render however images and links are not displayed. In either case the repository I want to display is not shown. Has anyone managed to get this working with VisualSVN? Also will this work if I have windows authentication and https? Here's a alternative setup using mod_wsgi (fast!), combined repository directory, and you can manage Mercurial repository level access from the VisualSVN Server GUI. Download mod_wsgi.so

SVN to GitHub migration

I have to migrate multiple directories from SVN trunk to one single GitHub repository. I'm able to clone single directory at a time by using this command: git svn clone "https://svn repo url" How to clone multiple directories with a single command from svn trunk? What is the best way to do migration? In the hard way officil svn to git migration you have to run a bunch of command to make the conversion, basically transforming trunk to master, svn revision's in commit's (git style) and svn tags (running git svn clone all tags are branches) to git tags. The easy way using this tool , beware of a

Cannot commit jar file to svn after merge: 502 'Bad Gateway'

We use visualsvn with tortoiseSVN on the client for version control of the binaries. That is, when we want to test a project, the test branch is merged with the build branch. This essentially updates the jar file to a newer version. For some reason i cannot commit the now merged test branch, i get a 502 'Bad Gateway' error. I can commit some of the updated files , i have comitted the delete of the old jar file but i cannot commit the new jar. The error i get points to the build branch, not the test branch, which i think may be the cause. I have tried deleting the offending file and replacing

Ever since the update, I have not been able to connect to the repository. The OS is Win7 Home Premium 64bit, Visual Studio Web Developer Express 2010 is installed, all Windows Updates have been applied automatically, and I used the apache server connection with SSL, which is the same as was working before. How to tell TortoiseSVN that a renamed file was renamed (not deleted and re-added)?

Using VisualSVN and TortoiseSVN here. I've renamed my file. I notice it say add and delete which to me means history may be erased? What is the best way to rename a file without losing history in Subversion? Right Click on the file > TortoiseSVN > Rename. The history won't be erased, but you will lose history tracing, as it would seem to be two unrelated files. From TortoiseSVN docs : If you want to do a simple in-place rename of a file or folder, use Context Menu → Rename... Enter the new name for the item and you're done. Repairing File Renames Sometimes your friendly IDE will rename files

VisualSVN Server仓库迁移到Linux(包含所有版本, 权限,用户信息)

AnkhSVN vs VisualSVN [closed]

We're thinking of switching to SVN at my work, so I was wondering about SVN plugins for VS2008 (and 2010 when it comes out). After a bit of research I found AnkhSVN and VisualSVN, the 2 that seemed most dominant. (I am aware of TortoiseSVN and will use the plugin in conjunction with it). I am aware that this has been asked before , but these questions were asked almost a year ago and we all know that a lot of things can change in a year. The question: From your experience, which is better and why? Granted, it has been a year since I've used each product head-to-head, but my current preference

Using svnversion with svn:keywords

I'm using Visual SVN on my Windows Box. I have Repository Application , which has Framework as an svn:external. All well and good. When I make a checkout of Application , I'd like to have the version of Application and Framework for inclusion in a footer file. This way I could have something like: Application Version $ApplicationVersion$, Framework Version $FrameworkVersion$ Ordinarily, I understand I could use svn:keywords and add the revision - but as I understand it, svn:keywords apply on a per-file basis. A few sites have suggested using svnversion to produce the output for each variable,
