I have two monitors set up and I am trying to position the window of an application in the second monitor but nothing I do seems to work. For example I am using my laptop and the terminal window is maximized on the screen. Then I plug in an external monitor. I then want to run the applescript and have the terminal maximize on the larger second monitor. Here is what I have right now: set monitorTwoPos to {1050, -600} set monitorTwoSze to {1200, 1920} tell application "Microsoft Outlook" set position of window 1 to monitorTwoPos set size of window 1 to monitorTwoSze end tell Here is the error I

I am using the following test setup (Latest meaning as of July 14th 2012): Core i7 with an ATI FirePro V9800 (Eyefinity) Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit (latest updates / patches) Latest Catalyst drivers Latest Google Chrome Stable / Canary. 6 x 1080p displays (in a row) resulting in a 11520px by 1080px desktop . I have tried the following to get a fullscreen web view across displays: Set the maximize to whole desktop setting in the Catalyst control panel. That works for maximizing normal windows (except Chrome), but not for anything fullscreen. Tried Chrome Kiosk mode (that would be ideal), same problem

问题 Using AutoHotkey, How can I bind a hotkey to stretch/maximize/span a window across multiple monitors so that it covers both displays? Right now, I have to do this by manually stretching the windows with the mouse. I know there are dedicated tools that do this, but I'm already running an AutoHotkey script and would rather limit the number of tools I keep running. 回答1: Here's how I did it, mapping the Shift + Windows + Up combination to maximize a window across all displays. 问题 I would like to be able to set "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" via code. A PowerShell script would be ideal. WMI seems the way forward but I have zero knowledge in WMI. 回答1: Windows 7, 8 and 10 are supposed to come with a small program that does exactly this: displayswitch.exe. This page lists the following parameters: displayswitch.exe/internal Disconnect projector displayswitch.exe/clone Duplicate screen displayswitch.exe/extend Extend screen displayswitch.exe/external

问题 I am using Windows, and I have two monitors. Some applications will always start on my primary monitor, no matter where they were when I closed them. Others will always start on the secondary monitor, no matter where they were when I closed them. Is there a registry setting buried somewhere, which I can manipulate to control which monitor applications launch into by default? @rp: I have Ultramon, and I agree that it is indispensable, to the point that Microsoft should buy it and incorporate

How do you control what monitor your application opens on?

As a two-monitor user at work, I've noticed that applications behave differently with regards to what monitor they open on (primary or secondary monitor, the last monitor the application opened on, and so on). To be honest, some applications annoy me because I want them to open on my primary monitor and I'll move them to my secondary if I want them there. However, these applications are done and out of my control, so I want to ask about my own applications that might be run by people using two monitors. What kinds of controls are available to either allow people to specify which monitor your

问题 Is there a way to direct a form in VB.NET to open and maximize in the second monitor. That is if there are two monitors displayed, to have the form load in the second window maximized by default? Say a program was made with two forms and a computer has two monitors attached. I want FormA to show in MonitorA by default and FormB to show in MonitorB maximized by default. EDIT: Further edited for clarity. 回答1: The first thing is to get information about available screens. You can get that from

问题 I have 3 monitors, but I don't need them all turned on all the time. I can just shut them down with power button, but I want to use their standby mode, like Windows does when we let PC idle for a while - it shuts down monitors, HDD, etc. But of course, I wanna keep using PC and let just that monitor on standby. Others must remain on and that one doesn't wake up even with me using PC. Is it possible to do that? It would be great to have a shortcut like Winkey + 1 , 2 , 3 etc to shut down and
