node http-server to respond with index.html to any request

I have installed http-server globally. I launch it from myDir on localhost port 8080. In myDir I have index.html . If I request (from the browser) http://localhost:8080/ I get index.html, which is OK. If I request though http://localhost:8080/anything I do not get any response from the server. What I would like, on the contrary, is that my server always responds with index.html to any http request reaching localhost on port 8080. Is this possible. Thanks in advance To achieve what you are asking for, I recommend you live-server instead of http-server. live-server --port=8080 --entry-file=.

The "-o" option opens a browser to the default page, but the page is served using HTTP and not even accessible through HTTPS. I don't get any errors or warnings. I've also tried adding the "-C" and "-K" options without luck. Has any

I am learning the JQuery Get method. I start up a Python HTTP server: (just typing command " Python -m SimpleHTTPServer "). It's fine to test this webserver by just visiting "http://localhost:80" on my web browser. However, when I write this very simple javascript to visit my webserver. I get an error message: "code 501, message Unsupported method ('OPTIONS')" I use jquery.xdomainajax.js library which suppose cross domain request JQuery. Here is my javascript code: <html> <head> <script src="jquery.min.js"></script> <script src="jquery.xdomainajax.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript">
