Dashboards in Google Apps Script not rendering correctly in IE?

is there a known issue with Dashboards in Google Apps Script not rendering correctly in IE? I have embedded the Dashboard App Script on a page in google sites. It renders correctly in Chrome and Firefox, but in IE the charts and filters / selectors do not look correct. I can verify this as well. My dashboard is not rendering properly on IE v9.0.8112.16421 - some filters and charts will appear and disappear on the screen. We use Chrome and IE8 (and I think it's permanently in quirks mode) at work, so I have this line to make IE8 render better: var app = UiApp.createApplication(); //Will be true

Google APPs managed “unlimited” account storage quota for service account

I have a Google account as a student. This account is managed by my university and recently the university informed us that students' accounts have now "unlimited" storage for Drive etc. To perform backups with this, I created a few service accounts in Google APIs console (XXX@developer.gserviceaccount.com). But it turns out that those accounts' storage is limited to 15GB, that is, when trying to upload files to one of service accounts that already has ~15GB in it, I get an error "the client is exceeded his storage quota". I asked the university admins, they don't know how to help and even don

Python GAE app using 2-legged OAuth and 3-legged OAuth at same time

I'm coding a Python - Google App Engine application. There are 2 important things this app must do: Write in user's calendar. Write in user's profile (working with users in a Google Apps domain) First operation is easy. If I understood OAuth, this is the classical 3-legged scenario. The scenario for which OAuth was originally developed. The logged user provides credentials to the client (my app) to access the user's data (calendar) on his/her behalf. So, this can be done just with the logged user's credentials. Second operation is not so easy. It can't be done with just the logged user's

Restrict Google account logins to a specified Apps domain

How can I let users log in to my web app with their Google account, and verify that they logged in from a certain Google Apps domain? Does the hd parameter to the Google Authorization service ensure that only the selected domain can be used to login? Or can I get the logged in user's email and verify that it ends with "@domain.com"? This doesn't seem like such a good idea. After login I also need to access the users' Google Contacts, which according to the documentation requires AuthSub proxy authentication . Have a look at the OpenID docs others suggested. In brief, you need to redirect the

Issue with creating an “old-fashioned” mail merge with Google Apps Script

This is a followup to a question I asked yesterday on the Google Apps Script Office Hours Hangout. The goal of my final script is to create an election process for student elections at the high school where I work using Google Forms. The script has three parts: 1) Create Unique "Voting IDs" (a random 6-digit code) 2) Merge the student data (Name, Homeroom, & Voting ID) on with a template document that will create specific voting instruction for each student. (i.e. an old-fashioned mail merge) 3) Verify the results by checking Voting ID's and removing duplicate votes. The part of the script

Need to upload files to google docs from my application and store reference to the uploaded file

问题 I'm working on a basic google applications based system. Like I earlier defined I'm building a simple ordering system and to each order placed I attach a file or document. I would like to be able to set it such that whatever file I upload is uploaded into google docs and I somehow am able to maintain a reference to that file from my own application i.e these files are concerned with such and such order. My application is google application based hopefully and I'm building it to be such for

Capturing file changes with Google Drive SDK

Honest to say, I haven't been able to deeply look inside the Google Drive API so far but I wonder if the API has support for what I need. I would like to capture changes under a specific folder and notify the users which has access to that folder. For example, I have a folder named Foo and there are three people who have access to that folder. When Person 1 makes a notable change (uploads a file, changes a file, deletes a file, etc) under that folder, I would like to notify the Person 2 and Person 3 . Please note here that these changes can be done from anywhere, not just from my client. The

How do companies set a name and avatar for their automated email addresses?

Websites will often send notification emails from addresses like hello@example.com or no-reply@example.com . When these show up in Gmail / Inbox, they often have a name and an avatar associated, like this one from Zeplin: I know if you're using Google Apps, as an administrator you could create a user called no-reply and set their avatar. But this also uses up one user slot which costs $5 / month. And I'm not sure if this technique works outside of Gmail or Inbox. Are there other ways to set the avatar for automated email addresses? Have a look at Gravatar . What Is Gravatar? An "avatar" is an

How do I point multiple domain names at a single Google App Engine application?

青春壹個敷衍的年華 提交于 2019-12-04 11:52:32
Let GAE = Google App Engine, GA = Google Apps. Let's also say that I have one GAE account with one app, 'exampleapp.appspot.com' and one GA account successfully associated with name 'example1.com', and that I have also successfully setup 'example1.com' to point to 'exampleapp.appspot.com'. My question is how to setup 'example2.com' to serve 'exampleapp.appspot.com'? Theoretically this process is similar to the original setup, which requires that you 1. add domain to GA and confirm ownership, then 2. add domain to GAE, and 3. finally adjust CNAME for the name accordingly. However I get stuck in

Authenticate Google App users with Google OAuth2 API

I'm wondering if I can use the google client api (java) to authenticate the users of a google apps domain to my application. The target application is a web application using a REST backend (jersey). The documentation isn't very clear (or I misunderstood it), and the samples in the documentation refers to deprecated classes... Does someone knows if it's possible and the best way to do it. A code sample would be appreciate. Google Apps accounts should work fine with the APIs. The only exception to this is if the service is disabled by the domain administrator. For example, if the Google+
