Why are blobs used?

问题 Blobs are Linairy Large OBjects, but why are they used, especially in the context of JavaScript? If you search the interwebz, you get alot of definitions of blobs, but not why they are used. So my questions are: Why ? (in which context, use cases?) Especially regarding filestorage in Cordova (so by means of JavaScript) What is the added value when working with blobs. Example: When storing data to the filesystem (by means of JavaScript), tutorials first convert the String to a blob before its

why oracle allows only one LONG column per table?

问题 Could anybody tell why oracle allows only one "LONG" datatype column per table. 回答1: LONGs were stored inline with the table data, so Oracle probably limited it to one per table because of that (performance hit as you'd be scanning over a lot of blocks) whereas LOBs are stored inline for only the first few k then go into the LOB segment for the rest. As LONGs are totally depreciated and a major pain in the butt to deal with, stay well away from them where possible. 来源: https://stackoverflow

Is there a way to do symbolic links to the blob data when using Azure Storage to avoid duplicate blobs?

问题 I have a situation where a user is attaching files within an application, these files are then persisted to Azure Blob storage, there is a reasonable likelihood that there are going to be duplicates and I want to put in place a solution where duplicate blobs are avoided. My first thought is to just name the blob as filename_hash but that only captures a subset of duplicates, then filesize_hash was then next thought. In doing this though it seems like I am losing some of the flexibility of the

React Native Uploading File in parts using XMLHttpRequest and auth digest

问题 I am trying to upload local mp4/move file with XMLHttpRequest() on a server. This is written with react-native and in final version user would be able to upload any big files from his/her IOS/Android device to server. The file is about 1 GB (it could potentially be from 100 mb to 10 GB). With files below 70 mb I could easily use this code ( below ) to load the blob then slice it and put on server using : https://github.com/inorganik/digest-auth-request sendRequest = new digestAuthRequest('PUT

问题 I have a large amount of files stored in a public Azure blob container, all of which are referenced directly via the HTML in my ASP.NET MVC web application. As an example a path to one of the images in blob storage looks like so: //<my-storage-account-name>.blob.core.windows.net/public/logo.png I want to avoid displaying my storage account name in my HTML source code so rather than: <img src="//<my-storage-account-name>.blob.core.windows.net/public/logo.png"/> I'd prefer to use this: <img src
