Google "itoa". There are many variations. Here's an example.

char* itoa(int val, int base){

    static char buf[32] = {0};

    int i = 30;

    for(; val && i ; --i, val /= base)

        buf[i] = "0123456789abcdef"[val % base];

    return &buf[i+1];

}

Specifically, here's an 'lltoa'.

Use lldiv(), saves CPU ticks over separate / and %.
Works well over entire long long range including 0 and that pesky LONG_LONG_MIN.
