Localized file paths hard coded in XCode 4 - disappear when project moved to new folder

问题 We localized a project recently into to 15 languages using Xcode but I noticed when I took the project home the paths to some of the localized files were all hardcoded to the full path of my work mac. We only localized two files: InfoPlist.strings Localizable.strings We used Xcode to do the localisation as follows. We added the 15 languages to the whole project. Then clicked on Localizable.string and in File Inspector > Localisation > + clicking + we added it to the 15 languages we set up for

Xcode 4 - Is there something in Interface Builder like “reveal in canvas”?

问题 I have a fairly complex xib with many elements. Some of them are on top of each other. If I want to move an element for example by using the arrow-keys I need to select it in the canvas, but if that element is "under" another, I can't click on it. So I'm looking for the "opposite" of "Reveal in Document Outline". In Xcode 3 there was a shortcut for that, sadly I forgot it and can't find it anywhere. Maybe that still works in Xcode 4... Does anyone know that shortcut? Or even a better way to

Xcode consistently fails to launch app on device: “Unknown packet reply: ”timeout“ to environment packet.”

问题 Since upgrading to Xcode 4.2 I've regularly encountered an error where attempting to debug an app fails with the message "Unknown packet reply: "timeout" to environment packet." Restarting the device does not consistently solve the problem (though it sometimes does), nor does restarting Xcode or rebooting the development machine. Cleaning and recompiling also does not fix the problem. It's not limited to the project; once it happens I can no longer launch any apps through Xcode. The device is

Zombie option missing from both diagnostics and instruments

问题 Running Xcode 4.0.2, the Zombie option is missing, from both places where other SO posts have suggested to find it. Product > Run... looks like this: Product > Profile looks like this: What is strange is that I have used Zombies before in this version of Xcode. I did a profile using the Allocations instrument, clicked Allocations' info button ("i") at the upper left, and checked the "Enable Zombie..." that then appeared there. But when I try that now, I get this: No more Zombies. Is it

Set system search path in Xcode 4

问题 I’m trying to set the header search path in Xcode 4 (using LLVM 2.0 / clang as compiler) in a C++ command line project so that I can include a library header file via #include <foo> . If I include the search path under the build setting “Header Search Paths” then the header is found. Unfortunately, I also compile with -Werror and a strict warning level and the header in question thus causes a compile error. I would therefore include the header search path via -isystem in order to disable

XCode 4's code completion for methods in the .h file

问题 In Xcode 3 I could first write my method in the implementation ( .m ) file; afterwards adding the same method to the interface ( .h ) file. At that point Xcode 3 made a code completion for the method written in the .m file. Sadly, Xcode 4 doesn't code complete my methods like Xcode 3 did. Does anyone else encountered this, and is there an option for this case? An example: The implementation .m file could look like this: #import "Foundation, MyClass.h and stuff" @implementation MyClass -(void

Xcode 4 is not indexing my project

问题 I have a project where Xcode 4 stopped indexing. As a consequence neither the complete class browser (symbol navigator) nor code sense work. 0 Classes and Protocols etc. are shown. I restarted indexing process by removal of some temporary files in the derived data and the xcodeproj area. But this does not help. Does anyone know what can Xcode prevent from indexing? I rebuilt the whole project and hopefully found the reason: In my-Prefix.pch file I included #import <myheader.h> , where

How to define Outlets and Actions in the Classes Pane in Interface Builder in Xcode 4?

问题 In Xcode 3 one used to be able to define Outlets, Actions etc in Interface Builder by going to the Library > Classes Pane and selecting the class from the list. Is this functionality missing in Xcode 4 ? There is a File Template Library in the Utility area (Lower Right Corner) in Xcode 4 but my custom clases do not show here !! 回答1: This does appear to be removed from Xcode 4, but there isn't much need for it anymore since Xcode 4 integrates the editor directly with IB. The feature never
