问题 I'm creating a cordova app for Windows. After associating the app with the store the application start page goes white blank. The app works fine if it uses the package identity name com.something.moretext but my store package identity name is 58661Something.MoreText the windows store package identity name starts with numbers so i get error of unmatched pattern if i change widget-id manually in config.xml and rebuild it. If i just change in the visual studio without running the command

问题 I would like to let the user choose a save option while selecting a file type. The selection works fine as in the below example. However after the user has selected a file type to be saved, I have not found a possibility to check which type he has selected. Please note: Both file type choices have the same extension. The difference between the two is the display name. var fsp = new FileSavePicker(); fsp.FileTypeChoices.Add("my file type", new List<string> {".extension"}); fsp.FileTypeChoices

Cloning a Windows Store app - What should be changed?

问题 I need to create a copy of a Windows Store app that will coexist with the original one on the store. I plan to create a copy of the solution folder and then change the package display name in appxmanifest (Packaging). Is there anything else I need to change to prevent conflicts between the apps? 回答1: Changing the package display name won't be sufficient and even it's not needed - you can have two apps with the same name on your phone. The most important is Name (in Identity node) and

What kind of ID goes into RequestProductPurchaseAsync?

问题 What's the meaning of the ProductID parameter of CurrentApp.RequestProductPurchaseAsync on Windows Phone 8, please? Is that the "Product identifier" that I provide when registering a product in the Dev Center on the Properties page? Or is it the GUID of the in-app product that the Store is using internally? The reason why I'm asking, some Store-related APIs do expect a GUID. My app only has one product; there's no selection process. I'd rather call RequestProductPurchaseAsync with a hard

windows store app trial period implementation

问题 On windows store app submission there is a place where it lets you specify a trial period (24 hours or 7 days...). In order to use this feature do i have to implement a code that kills the app after the specified time (The windows store option being just a declaration of the intention) or does the windows run-time handles the killing. 回答1: When you upload an app to the store you specify how long you would like a free trial to last for (a few days, all the way up to never expire). When the

How to debug a Windows Store app that crashes on a customer's machine?

问题 I got a support email from a customer saying his app crashes when it starts and all he gets is a message like: (App Name) ran into a problem You can send info to Microsoft about what went wrong to help improve this app. Files that will be sent to Microsoft C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Temp\WER####.tmp.appcompat.txt C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\Temp\WER####.tmp.hdmp I thought - Microsoft isn't going to help them really with my silly app. They should send the dump file to me for

Offer a trial of an in-app purchase

问题 I want to have users be able to try out functionality that is usually a paid one. Making a paid app have a trial is built in to the store. How about this in-app trial, is there a way to have that? If so - how? (C#/XAML.) 回答1: As far as I know you cannot provide a trial version for IAP straight forward. But what you want to achieve, should be easy to perform by providing second time-limited (durable) IAP, time limited. When you take a look at MSDN you will see that you can set product lifetime

Can I publish the StoreKey.pfx of an UWP application

问题 I have an open source windows store application (UWP). When I associate the application with the store a Package.StoreAssociation.xml and a <AppName>_StoreKey.pfx is created along with some modifications to my Package.appxmanifest (Identity Tag; Name and Publisher Attributes). Can I commit that information to a public git repository (the certificate must be in the repository because I want to build the package with AppVeyor)? Should I encrypt it? Could I revoke the certificate if it leaked?

How to prevent data-scraping a valuable data web service?

I have a great idea for a windows store app. I'd like to make this app. However it requires a large and valuable database that I will need to create a service for so that people cannot easily steal it. My thinking is maybe host a mobile service on Azure (which I've never tried) and create a .net Web API project to take requests and dish out Json like candy to a windows 8 mvvmclient. However what I don't want is someone sniffing my traffic back and forth from app to service and figuring out how to get/post data from using my app and service then setting up their own app / website to display
