问题 I have my Windows 8.0 packages in my Windows Dev Center dashboard. I would like to know if there's a way a Windows 10 user to see and download my app from Windows Store. It seems it isn't working. How to do it? Do I have to "retarget" my project to Windows 10? 回答1: No, Windows 10 devices will not be able to see Windows 8.x apps in the Windows Store. I have the same issue in that I only target Windows 8.x. I contacted MS support, and they say that you will need to create a Windows 10 package.

问题 I've recently been checking out the samples for WinRT(C#) for Windows Store. One really cool thing I saw was the Toast Notifications. I can think of a million different uses for them, but not a single one that would also be suitable as a windows store application. So, is it possible to use Toast Notifications in Windows 8 from regular .Net desktop applications? 回答1: Yes you can. is it possible to get a watermarks passwordbox in WinRt? It is no problem to get a textbox with a watermark, but I don't know a toolkit where I can get a password box with a watermark. How can I implement one for myself? Take a look on WinRT XAML Toolkit . They also have WatermarkTextBox WatermarkPasswordBox By yourself you can implement your own controls: in .xaml: <Border x:Name="brdPassword" Margin="5,0,5,10" BorderThickness="2" BorderBrush="White" CornerRadius="5" Grid.Row="0" Background="White" Height="50" VerticalAlignment="Stretch"> <Grid> <TextBox x:Name="PasswordWatermark"

XAML grouped GridView/Semantic Zoom not displaying all children?

问题 I'm attempting to use the XAML C# Grouped GridView sample to make my SemanticZoom work in a XAML C# Windows 8 app. The problem is, for some reason it's displaying the correct header (the category, in this case), but it's not showing all the items under the header (it's only showing one for each, when I have up to 6 items in some of them). Here's the SemanticZoom's XAML code (note that I left out the ZoomedOutView for brevity, and since it's working perfectly): <SemanticZoom x:Name="boardZoom"

Await blocks the UI Thread, Network Related

问题 I have this piece of code in my Windows Store app where I handle a button click. But somehow, UI freezes when I click this button on rare occasion. It mostly happens when I connect to a Wi-Fi network further away than the one I usually connect to. Taking into consideration that I download a RSS feed from the internet, it is most probably related to my using of async/await keywords. If I correctly understood the mechanics of async/await, UI thread should not block at all. Am I missing
