Intermittent '401: Unauthorized' exceptions from server

问题 I have a web service that is hosted in a clustered environment. The web application that is calling this service is also hosted in a clustered environment, but on a different set of IIS6 servers. Hence, the application servers are appserv1 and appserv2 and the service servers are svcserv1 and svcserv2. We don't control which servers are accessed since we typically just refer to them as either appserv or svcserv, respectively. The service is a WCF Service but has been created to be compatible

问题 I apologize in advance for the length of this question, but I wanted to be sure to provide complete information as I have been researching it for weeks. As a followup to this question on WCF authorization errors, I'm trying to determine how to specify the SPN (or should this be a UPN?) for the service. My issue is currently that when attempting to contact the service I go through a load balancer. The load balancer alternately sends me to one of two servers, svcserv1 or svcserv2. I have not

问题 We have a WCF service running in Azure and have client application (WPF) consuming the servcie. Can anybody point me in the right direction on how I can secure the WCF service so that only my client application can access the public methods or applications allowed can access the public methods 回答1: there are lots of possibilities depending on binding you are using, an approach could be to use Message Security with X509 certification in WSHtttpBinding you can read about it's example here
