Running command line statements from TFS custom activity

I'd like to run a command to execute a subversion command from the TFS custom activity. Should I create a msbuild script to exec the svn command and call msbuild from the activity? Thanks. Anyone? You can also add an InvokeProcess activity to the build process template. See http://www.ewaldhofman.nl/?tag=/build+2010+customization for more information on how to modify the build process template. 来源: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3770333/running-command-line-statements-from-tfs-custom-activity

Remove orphan identities in TFS 2010

I am in the process of moving a TFS 2010 installation from one machine to another. I found that is possible remap identities using TFSConfig Identities /change command but I didn't find a way to remove orphan user identities that I don't need anymore. I know that probably I can leave them there, but I am fussy and I like keeping things in order. Do you have any idea how to safely remove unused identities? Don't clean them up. They are inactive so think of them as tombstones. If you get rid of them, you may experience dangling users (in Access Control Entries or File History for example).

Revoking TFS Merge Credits

I understand that when performing a merge from BRANCHA > BRANCHB and selecting “Keep Target” on some files will result in “Merge Credits” being granted to those files in TFS history: Merging Developement Branch to Main: There were no changes to merge Is there a way for us to revoke/wipe the Merge Credits on given files, effectively enabling our developers to perform a /force merge via Source Control Explorer? Context: On a weekly basis, we merge from BRANCHA > BRANCHB to synchronize parallel efforts. Any files with unresolved conflicts are noted and their owners are notified to perform a merge

How to get all unmerged changesets for a branch using TFS 2010 SDK?

Currently I have 2 branches - Development and Release. Is it possible to obtain all unmerged changesets from Development to Release? Currently we use the default Merge Wizzard. However it has one big limitation - it cannot filter by user. So I was thinking of building an app that will pull all unmerged changesets from Development to Release and allow me to filter those changesets by user. You could write a small console app that goes like this: using System; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Client; using Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client; namespace UnmergedChangesets { class Program

Team Build 2010 - Third Party Assembly References not copying to output folder

When I build a solution on my build server it generates a binaries folder and then later on copies these binaries to the final output folder. In my case some of the third party assemblies REFERENCES are correctly copied over while other 3rd part assemblies REFERENCES are not copied over. Take not that my solution projects do not directly reference the assemblies being copied over. This means that everything build fine. But when I run my program it doesn't start since the assemblies it's referencing can't in turn load their references. What process in the build determines what assemblies are

问题 Properties\AssemblyInfo.cs(41,12): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'AssemblyFileVersion' could not be found. I'm getting this error when I use TFS build agent but don't have this problem with building using the .csproj from studio. Is there anything I am missing? My assemblyinfo file looks like so: // -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- using System.Reflection; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; //

问题 I'm trying to do Continuous Integration using TFS 2010 for a Windows Phone 7.1 project. There are 2 resource projects (Win32 Project for localisation) and the main Windows phone project. I have copied the project output of above 2 projects to a folder in the main WP project (inside 'MUI' folder) , and also marked the files as 'content' in build action. All works well when building and running the WP7 project from Visual Studio 2010. But when I try to build the projects using TFS 2010 build

Check in a file to TFS (command line) withouth a work space

问题 Is it possible to just say to TFS that I have a file (call it Version.txt) and I want it to be checked in at a location (say $/MyProject/MyVersionLocation) and not have any workspace setup for that location? Something like (pretend Syntax): tf.exe c:\Version.txt CheckIn $/MyProject/MyVersionLocation /WorkSpaceOverride If so, how do you do it? 回答1: It is not possible to checkin a file without a workspace mapping for that path. One option would be to use a combination of "tf workspace" and "tf
