Convert elapsed real time to Date

I'm writing a simple app to monitor sync activities on Android and am stuck with SyncInfo.startTime which returns a value based on SystemClock.elapsedRealTime() . How do I convert this value to a regular Date object? Found a solution to the problem: new Date(System.currentTimeMillis() - SystemClock.elapsedRealtime() + elapsedTime); where elapsedTime is the time I receive from Android. As far as I've tested, this seems to return the correct date/time for an elapsed time. I'm just not very fond of this answer because Google warns not to use System.currentTimeMillis() . Unless someone has a

Sync horizontal scroll event of two DataGridViews

I need to synchronize the scroll event of two DataGridView controls, so that when I horizontally scroll the first DGV, second DGV also should be scrolled in the same way. Is it possible? Could this be set in design time? This can be done in code as follows. You may be looking for a C# way of doing it. But following is a code I used in a VB.NET application. Just convert it to C# ;) For First Grid write... Private Sub DataGridView1_Scroll(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.ScrollEventArgs) Handles DataGridView1.Scroll If e.ScrollOrientation = ScrollOrientation.VerticalScroll

How to sync the scrollbars of two grids in wx

One custom wx.frame is created to contain a splitter window with two grid controls inside. It's used to compare the data in each of the grid. At this point the scrollbar of two grids need to support sync scroll. Questions: How to get these two grid's scroll event? I have tried to bin the wx.EVT_SCROLL event at the frame but failed. I also try to bind the scroll event in the custom grid control, it's failed too. How to sync scroll the scrollbar of the two grids? An answer of a relative question mentioned to use gridInstance.Scroll(row, col) to scroll the grid client window. But it doesn't

Provisioned iPhone not showing in Xcode Organizer (or iTunes)

I've recently set up an app id and provisioning profile and was able to test my app on the device successfully. I then downloaded some sample iOS XCode projects and upon deploying one of them and deleting the sample app from the phone have since been unable to sync the phone with iTunes or see it as connected in the Xcode organizer window (the device is still listed in the lefthand pane, but shows up as disconnected). All new projects created in Xcode are now greeted with the following message when I attempt to build and run on the device. No provisioned iOS device is connected. I'm running

Can someone give a little bit briefing or perhaps more elaborate details on differences Android background service with Alarm Manager? How they differ? And in which situation I should use each? I am developing an application that need to download data from Web Service at periodic time. The application has few modules and each modules has different interval time period to download / sync the data to Web Service. Let say + Module A need to sync in every 15 mins + Module B need to sync in every 1 hour + Module C need to sync in every day + Module D need to sync weekly + Module E need to sync

Is this a functional syncing algorithm?

问题 I'm working on a basic syncing algorithm for a user's notes. I've got most of it figured out, but before I start programming it, I want to run it by here to see if it makes sense. Usually I end up not realizing one huge important thing that someone else easily saw that I couldn't. Here's how it works: I have a table in my database where I insert objects called SyncOperation . A SyncOperation is a sort of metadata on the nature of what every device needs to perform to be up to date. Say a user

Eclipse automatically refresh resources and exclude build dir

问题 Eclipse Helios: 40+ project working set, using maven (mvn-eclipse plugin) to generate eclipse project files. 'Resource is out of sync with the file system: ...' Appears after doing, among other things, a text search. After a bit of googling found Prefs > Workspace > Refresh Automatically which is widely reported to be malfunctional, and has the same symptom for me. The source files are source controlled, so therefore have lock attributes on them, was curious if this may come into play with

I'm looking for an easy to use library/algorithm that can sync two folders locally (one-way or two-way) Take a look at the Microsoft Sync Framework . There is a guide for syncing files at How to: Synchronize Files by Using Managed Code . Looking for alternative to Google Reader sync for RSS app

问题 I'm in the early stages of designing an RSS app, and I'd like to include syncing to an online RSS feed service as a feature. Most such apps make use of Google Reader's feed/syncing features, but Google is now moving sync out of its Reader service, and also its API remains undocumented. Are there any alternatives to Google Reader that offer online syncing of feeds with a desktop client, and which have a documented API? 回答1: A couple suggestions, the original web RSS Reader BlogLines is still
