Place files from project sub-folder into output directory

问题 I want to create a folder inside a C# project to contain some configuration files. However, I don't want these files to be copied to bin\Release\MyFolder . I'd rather have them copied to bin\Release directly. I'm thinking this may be doable by having a "virtual" folder, like solution folders, but I don't know how to do it. Is there a way to create a virtual folder in Visual Studio 2008 (C#) projects? Or even better, how can I specify that the (text) file output should be directed to the main

Project with multiple binaries in Eclipse CDT

问题 I think it is quite normal to have more than one binary in a project. However, with Eclipse CDT I don't know how to set up the IDE to get things done. I know I can create several projects - one per binary. And I know I can set the dependencies per project. However, I cannot regard them as one project in Eclipse. If I'd like to share the code with a version control system (like svn), each developer has to import the projects separately. What I miss is something like the Solution (sln file) in

How many projects in a solution is too many?

问题 How many projects in a single solution is acceptable? And for those apps that have large project numbers do you put the other compiled dlls in some common folder to be able to run the app? 回答1: Since in Visual Studio a project compiles to an assembly, the question you should ask yourself is "how many assemblies should I have?" If there's no reason for the assemblies to be used separately, there should be no reason to have them split in several projects. If you have several assemblies to

Reference Web.Config file from another project in same solution C#

问题 I have a VC2010 C# Solution, with a number of projects in it. So for example, I have a web project, and I have a class library. In the web.config file, I have a key in the <appSettings> section, e.g. <add key="FileDirectory" value="G:\ftproot\sales" /> I have also added a key in the Web.Production.config file to reflect the file directory on the server. So when I reference it in my web project (It's MVC) - I do so like this: var FTPPath = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["FileDirectory"];

Scenario Consider having a solutions with 4 projects in it: 1) ProjectSql: This is a project, whose compilation output is set to Library , and this is responsible of accessing a SqlServer database and do something. The final library will be able to provide APIs in order to manage persistency for the final application. 2) ProjectWCF: This is a project, whose compilation output is set to Library , and this is responsible for defining service contracts, data contracts and service implementations to let my application host a service. 3) ProjectMiscellaneous: This is a project, whose compilation

Classic ASP and MVC side-by-side, different projects?

问题 I've tried asking this in a few different ways, but let's give it another shot (as I've yet to receive an answer and this is driving me nuts!) I have a very large classic ASP 3.0 application (~350K lines) that I want to start migrating to ASP.NET MVC. I'd like to keep the old ASP files in a separate project from the MVC stuff. Ideas on how to debug these? Should I just dump the files in the same folder and create two different projects ( a WAP and an MVC app) that reference the relevant files

Visual Studio 2012 keeps showing upgrade report

问题 I have a SharePoint 2013 solution migrated from VS 2010 and SharePoint 2010 which gives me an upgrade report every time it loads in VS 2012. I have not opened it with VS 2010 in the mean time. Also, all the source code files are write protected so I consistently have to deal with forcing overwrites and things of that nature. Originally the solution was bound to Vault source control, but I removed the bindings prior to upgrading because we're also switching to Team Foundation Server 2012.
