问题 I'm recently setting up and running a Windows 2008 r2 server with VMware Workstation 8. I'm running a Centos 6.2 virtual linux box with Postgresql 9.1. Everything seems ok locally and I can connect to the CentOS box via a bridged network connection. I have followed David Ghedini's walkthrough for setting up Postgresql 9.1. So I am able to start a putty session window, log in as root and start psql shell and issue statements as postgres user. My problem is that I cannot connect using pgAdmin

I have installed PostgreSQL DB server on my Ubuntu machine. Now I want to create a new Database through some GUI application. I tried pgAdmin but didn't find any option to create a new DB. But I could add existing db servers. Is there any way to create a DB and then tables through pgAdmin or some other app. Basically I am looking for an application for PostgreSQL like SQLYog for MySQL. 问题 I recently installed the lastest version of ubuntu and i'm not used to it yet. I had several problems connecting postgresql with pgadmin3. I tryed to follow several tutorials to create a localhost server which I can use in pgadmin3. I didn't really hit the mark and I think I made it worse by installing, uninstalling, installing, uninstalling, trying answers I found... At this point I'm not sure my postgres is clean. It could be possible that I have two postgres installed, once again, I'm not

问题 I am using pgAdmin version 1.14.3. PostgreSQL database version is 9.1. I got all Db script for table creation but unable to export all data inside tables. Could not find any option to export data in db script form. 回答1: Just right click on a table and select "backup". The popup will show various options, including "Format", select "plain" and you get plain SQL. pgAdmin is just using pg_dump to create the dump, also when you want plain SQL. It uses something like this: pg_dump --user user -

关于pgadm4工具: https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Apt 其它PostgreSQL管理工具: https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Community_Guide_to_PostgreSQL_GUI_Tools#pgAdmin_4 Helm install: https://github.com/helm/charts/tree/master/stable/postgresql 1、安装pgadm4 获得 repository key,在 https://www.postgresql.org/media/keys/ACCC4CF8.asc ,如下: sudo apt-get install curl ca-certificates curl https://www.postgresql.org/media/keys/ACCC4CF8.asc

Debug PostgreSQL function using pgAdmin

I refer this to enable the debugger in the PostgreSQL server in order to debugging the plpgsql function by stepping through the codes using the pgadmin. I have already set shared_preload_libraries = '$libdir/plugins/plugin_debugger.dll' in the postgresql.conf , run pldbgapi.sql , and restarted the server. These steps should have been run successfully and plugin_debugger.dll should be loaded successfully as can be verified by using the command show shared_preload_libraries , and I can see the debugging option in the context menu with a right click on a function in pgAdmin. When choosing

Primary & Foreign Keys in pgAdmin

I was wondering can some give me an explanation on how to assign primary and foreign keys in pgAdmin? I can't find any information online. For example...I've got a Student table with all their details (address, d.o.b. and etc.). I'm going to add a student_number to the table and make it a primary key. I just want to know how do I do that using pgAdmin? And if you may be kind to explain give me further information on using Primary Keys in postgreSQL (and pgAdmin). The same case with the foreign keys. There is no option in pgAdmin to add a column to an existing table and make it the primary key
