Find element that is causing the showing of horizontal scrollbar in Google Chrome

夙愿已清 提交于 2019-12-02 15:37:16
When I size my Chrome window to 328 x 455 pixels I still see a horizontal scrollbar. How can I find out which element is causing this? I've been looking elements via the developer console, but can't find the element. I then tried the script I found here , but nothing is logged. I tried it on element body , section1 and a bunch of others but don't know what else to do. $(function () { var f = $('body'); //document.getElementById("body"); var contentHeight = f.scrollHeight; var declaredHeight = $(f).height(); var contentWidth = f.scrollWidth; var declaredWidth = $(f).width(); if (contentHeight >

how can I add a vertical scrollbar to my div automatically?

I want to add vertical scrollbar to my <Div> . I've tried overflow:auto , but it is not working. I've tested my code in Firefox and Chrome. I'm pasting the Div style code here: float:left; width:1000px; overflow: auto; You need to assign some height to make the overflow: auto; property work. For testing purpose, add height: 100px; and check. and also it will be better if you give overflow-y:auto; instead of overflow: auto; , because this makes the element to scroll only vertical but not horizontal. float:left; width:1000px; overflow-y: auto; height: 100px; If you don't know the height of the

Do we ignore overflow in Two's Complement

问题 I'm trying to wrap my head around overflow within twos complement for example say I'm trying to take away these two binary numbers: 1111 1000 0100 - 010 111 001 000 I convert the 2nd binary number to it's two complement equivalent and then simply add it but I noticed it resulted in an overflow of 1, do I simply ignore the overflow? or is there a rule I must follow 1111 1000 0100 + 1010 0011 1000 = (1) 1001 1011 1100 回答1: Short answer: if you are performing arithmetic on fixed-width binary

Integer overflow concept

How int overflow works. I mean to ask what would be the final result of an integer value if an overflow happens? I need to understand it on paper. Like I'm given a multiple choice question: 11^5 Produces: a. 12 b. 14 c. 15 d. 17. I know the answer is (b)14 , but want to know why? Sunsetquest DecVal BinVal 11 -> 1011 XOR 5 -> 0101 ------- 14 -> 1110 fyi, This does not really have anything to do with int overflow. Since you're asking about wrap-around I'm answering that below. But as is clear from comments, you really tried the C++ expression 11^5 , a bitlevel XOR, and got the answer 14, which

问题 I have a question about the display of a container. First, I managed to simulate the attribute "object-fit: contain;" for an image by using a verticaly alligned strut and the attribute "text-align: center" (thank you IE). See it there: http://codepen.io/babybackart/pen/vGQeoK html: <body> <div class="plancheBox"> <div class="strut"></div><!-- --><img src="http://images.forwallpaper.com/files/thumbs/preview/23/236747__kitten-soft-fluffy-tender_p.jpg"> </div> </body> css: body{ height: 100%;

Bash: Terminate on Timeout/File Overflow while Executing Command

I'm writing a mock-grading script in bash. It's supposed to execute a C program which will give some output (which I redirect to a file.) I'm trying to (1) make it timeout after a certain duration and also (2) terminate if the output file reaches a certain file size limit. Not sure how to go about either of these. Any help? Thanks. There's a GNU coreutil command timeout to do timeouts. Investigate ulimit -f 32 to set the maximum file size (to 16 KiB; it counts in 512 byte blocks). Objection: ulimit is [ not ] suitable because I have to create other files as well. I need to limit only one of

CSS Flexbox: a centered child overflows a parent with position fixed

问题 How can I properly center the #content without overflowing the #container ? margin: auto kinda works, but looks like a hack to me, I would like not to use any margins with CSS Flexbox. Keep in mind that the #container has position: fixed . Here's the code demonstrates the issue: [View in JSFiddle ↗] document.getElementById('content').innerHTML = [...Array(100).keys()].join('<br>') #container { position: fixed; background: lightblue; top: 0; bottom: 0; left: 0; right: 0; display: flex; align
