Video Thumbnails in Java

I want to generate a thumbnail preview of videos in Java. I'm mostly JMF and video manipulation alienated. Is there an easy way to do it? What about codecs? Will I have to deal with it? Any video type is suported? (including Quicktime) There seems to be a few examples out there that are far better than what I was going to send you. See http://krishnabhargav.blogspot.com/2008/02/processing-videos-in-java.html . I'd agree with Stu, however. If you can find a way to get what you want using some command-line tools (and run them using Commons-Exec ), you might have a better overall solution than

Adding dependencies in Maven Netbeans

问题 I've created a Maven project and added the dependencies (jar files) that I need; however, netbeans says that it still cannot find it. Specifically in my case, I added the jmf-2.1.1e.jar file into my dependencies folder. When I go back to my program it still gives me the compile error that it cannot find the javax.media package. 回答1: Did you let Netbeans manage the dependency? In your "Projects" listing, find and context+click on the "Dependencies" folder in the list. From the context menu,

问题 I need to Play a MP3 File in Java code under Linux environment ( Ubuntu 11.04 ). I tried to download the MP3plugin.jar file from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/download-137625.html ,but I can't see it in the list. It leads to a page with a long list of APIs for download, none of which are that archive. :( Fortunately, I use it in

Any simple (and up to date) Java frameworks for embedding movies within a Swing Application?

I am building a small Swing application that I would like to embed a movie within. Importantly, this application is a WebStart application - and the library should be able to be packaged within the jnlp that I launch -i.e, not dependent on native libraries. I am aware of and have tried JMF but the format compatibility I believe to be relatively poor when compared to other frameworks out there. Could someone please provide a sample code snippet of a simple implementation using their recommended library? Many thanks in advance. 问题 A videoconferencing project I was working on used JMF to capture video and audio, and transmit it to another endpoint. An issue was that my team didn\'t want the user of the product to have to install JMF. I thought it might be worthwhile to share our solution to this problem. It works. It works well. My question to you is: does anyone have a better way to do it? Environment: Windows, XP and above Download JMF for Windows Install it on your machine Locate the following dll s in the system32
