I am getting a date that comes in GMT format, Fri, 18 Oct 2013 11:38:23 GMT. The problem is that the time is messing up the timeline that I am using. How can I strip out everything except for the actual date? Inanda Menezes Like this: var dateString = 'Mon Jan 12 00:00:00 GMT 2015'; dateString = new Date(dateString).toUTCString(); dateString = dateString.split(' ').slice(0, 4).join(' '); console.log(dateString); If you want to keep using Date and not String you could do this: var d=new Date(); //your date object console.log(new Date(d.setHours(0,0,0,0))); -PS, you don't need a new Date object,

I have a few records inside a column which represent either EST or EDT Time. I need to convert these times to GMT time. The format of the time are: 10/1/2010 0:0:0 10/1/2010 0:6:0 ... 10/1/2010 23:54:0 ... 10/3/2010 0:0:0 ... Can someone help me out here? thanks The easiest, most reliable way I know to convert between timezones is to use the third-party pytz module: import pytz import datetime as dt utc=pytz.utc eastern=pytz.timezone('US/Eastern') fmt='%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S %Z%z' text='''\ 10/1/2010 0:0:0 10/1/2010 0:6:0 10/1/2010 23:54:0 10/3/2010 0:0:0 ''' for datestring in text.splitlines():

Should I use DateTime.Now or DateTime.UtcNow in HttpCookie.Expires and HttpCachePolicy.SetExpires?

Should I use DateTime. Now or DateTime.UtcNow in HttpCookie.Expires and HttpCachePolicy.SetExpires ? Cookies are sending 'GMT' time, but I don't know what happen if I send DateTime.Now.AddDays(3) if I would be in GMT+5. Same with Expires HTTP header (sec 14.21) . What should I use? It doesn't matter in this case. Internally, the first thing .SetExpires does is convert your supplied datetime into UTC, before setting it on the cookie. Bear in mind, as long as your datetime consumer uses the DateTime class correctly, then the two are the same - it is just that one is "baselined" to UTC and the

I just want to be able to record the latest rss entry date, but I need to standardize the time to GMT time or Unix timestamp to do this. 回答1: The format appears to be ISO-8601. Assuming that is true, this blog provides a javascript solution to this. 回答2: As I met the same problem, the solution involving Google Closure Library would be: var pattern = "yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm
