问题 I'm a newbie to Git. I'm exploring one-way one-time migration of Git repository to TFS (with history). I'm looking into plugin git-tfs. I couldn't find any help/wiki/blog on this particular scenario. Can I use git-tfs checkin or git-tfs clone command in this case? Any examples would be great!! Thank you!! 回答1: I was able to do it on test repository. Big thanks to Ivan Danilov. Here are exact steps: Download zip Unblock (right click file->properties->unblock) downloaded files (win 7 for me)

Git-Tfs: A TFS changeset per Git Commit?

问题 At work we use TFS, and I'm trying to get the Git-TFS tool to work so that I have more flexibility when working with local commits before pushing them to our TFS repo. I have this working, but when I do a git tfs ct , it checks all my commits into one TFS changeset. Am I missing something, or is this how it's supposed to work? If it doesn't push each of my commits individually to TFS as separate changesets, then it seems to defeat the purpose of using git-tfs in the first place. 回答1: I use

Linking git repository to multiple TFS projects

问题 I have a git repository that needs to be shared across multiple other projects as a shared library/common code. The projects using this common code are all TFS projects (TFS2013). I am able to host the git repo in TFS, but cannot figure out how to link the git and TFS repos together without duplication. The idea I am trying to achieve is identical to git's submodules, where one git repo can be a submodule to N other git repos: - CommonLib/ (git) - src/ - inc/ - Project1/ (git) - src/ - inc/ -

git tfs: How to rcheckin git commits when there is another checkin in tfs?

问题 For a remote-worker without access to our TFS we cloned a TFS repository using git tfs. When we got back his repository we saw that he worked on a new feature branch. Before trying to rcheckin his changes, we merged his feature branch into the master branch. Since he didn't commit anything to master, a fast forward took place, resulting in a single stream git log. Unfortunately, since the initial clone another (completely unrelated) checkin happened on TFS. When we try to rcheckin, we get the

Merge two TFS branches with git tfs

问题 I'm using git-tfs , and I was wondering if it is possible to merge two TFS branches using git-tfs . I have two branches $/MyCompany/Dev & $/MyCompany/Release-3.3. Release-3.3 originates from the Dev branch. Both are checked out as different git repositories using git tfs. I'd like to re-incorporate the changes back into the Dev branch. Can this be achieved with git-tfs or will I have to resort to trying to do it using TFS tools? 回答1: Since git-tfs 0.16, you can manage TFS branches (with

问题 We use TFS 2010 at work, and I use git-tfs so I can use git locally. I've recently upgraded my machine, and copied all my local repository folders across. I seem to be able to pull from TFS and commit locally. However when I do git tfs rcheckin , I now get the error: TF26198: The work item does not exist, or you do not have permission to access it. It does however work when using git tfs checkintool . I presumed that I was getting this error because the original git tfs clone was done on

问题 I am trying to migrate a project from Azure DevOps TFVC to Azure DevOps Git with all changeset history, not only for the last 180 days. Just in case, I have migrated the changes of the last 180 days with the tool included in Azure DevOps. So now I have 2 repositories en this project: TFVC collection with {collection-name} Git repository with another name. I asked here and I am stuck in "Clone the repository to a local folder" step. I have Git installed and downloaded the latest realease of

Migrate Git repository to new TFVC repository

问题 How do you use git-tfs to mirror/copy an existing Git repository to a NEW TFS 2010 TFVC repository? The existing Git repository was NOT cloned from TFS. I need to move the source code from our master branch in our remote/local Git repository into a new TFVC repository for posterity sake, and to update it on every release to production. I've tried to use git-tfs to accomplish this but it appears that it needs to START with a Git repository that was originally cloned from TFS, which is not

问题 We are using TFS as main source control and I would like to use git as a "frontend" together with git-tfs rcheckin command but I have problems importing my repositories into git. I have a two projects in my TFS $/ProjectA $/ProjectB and I would like to manage them in one git repository. Possible to use git project AND see TFS work items in VS2013?

问题 So I've upgraded to VS2013, hopefully for all development. One thing really irks me about it though. My team uses TFS, and I prefer git, so I use git-tfs to bridge the two for source control. We use TFS work items for tracking of bugs and stories and such. I prefer GitExtensions to the built-in git support of VS2013 as well, if it matters. Anyway, When I have a solution open that's under a git-tfs repository, VS2013 will helpfully only show me options for git under the Team Explorer tab. So,
