ASP.NET Dynamic Data DisplayColumn Attribute Causing Sorting Issue

Using ASP.NET Dynamic Data with a LINQ to SQL DataContext from the Northwind Database... When I add a DisplayColumn Attribute to one of my LINQ to SQL entity classes and reference a property from my custom code in the partial class, I lose the ability to sort by that column in the generated GridViews . I continue to lose the ability to sort even if I reference a non-custom property as the sortColumn . Why is this happening? Example Code: [DisplayColumn("LastNameFirstName", "LastName", false)] public partial class Employee { public string LastNameFirstName { get { return LastName + ", " +

Dynamic Allocation of Constant memory in CUDA

I'm trying to take advantage of the constant memory, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to nest arrays. What I have is an array of data that has counts for internal data but those are different for each entry. So based around the following simplified code I have two problems. First I don't know how to allocate the data pointed to by the members of my data structure. Second, since I can't use cudaGetSymbolAddress for constant memory I'm not sure if I can just pass the global pointer (which you cannot do with plain __device__ memory). struct __align(16)__ data{ int nFiles; int nNames;

Inside Info on Dynamic Data

问题 This is a sister question to my other one here, not linked to because I'm not posting this to pull views of that. I'm busy with my first dynamic data project and loving it, and, of course, I have a few challenges that I'd like to resolve and also maybe debug myself. However, the framework is quite dense in terms of how what gets done once you get past dynamic controls. I would appreciate pointers to some articles etc. that explain the foundations, how tables are scaffolded, what type of data

QML Loader not shows changes on .qml file

I have main.qml and dynamic.qml files that i want to load dynamic.qml on main.qml using Loader {} . Content of dynamic.qml file is dynamic and another program may change its content and overwrite it. So i wrote some C++ code for detecting changes on file and fires Signal. My problem is that I don't know how can i force Loader to reload file. This is my current work: MainController { id: mainController onInstallationHelpChanged: { helpLoader.source = ""; helpLoader.source = "../dynamic.qml"; } } Loader { id: helpLoader anchors.fill: parent anchors.margins: 60 source: "../dynamic.qml" } I think

The method 'Skip' is only supported for sorted input in LINQ to Entities. The method 'OrderBy' must be called before the method 'Skip'

I am working on a Dynamic data. after creating a dynamic model and registering in global.asax, like DefaultModel.RegisterContext(typeof(masterEntities1),new ContextConfiguration() { ScaffoldAllTables = true }); when i run an application, it shows a list of tables but when i click any of the table it throws an exception: The method 'Skip' is only supported for sorted input in LINQ to Entities. The method 'OrderBy' must be called before the method 'Skip'. but i haven't declare any query into my application. You must call .OrderBy' on your query if you use the .Skip method. For example if you

How to send a dynamically generated file in a rails app

问题 I'm trying to serve a dynamically generated files in a rails app, so when the user clicks a specific link, the file is generated and sent to the client using send_data. The file is not intended to be reused: is a short text file and regenerating should be really inexpensive as it won't be donwloaded that much; but if it is necessary or convenient I could store it in the database so is only generated once. First, I would like to generate the file in memory, and send it in the controller. I'm

How do I hide a column only on the list page in ASP.NET Dynamic Data?

This is somewhat similar to this question . However, rather than wanting to hide a column all together, I am just looking to hide the column on the List.aspx page. My specific example is that fields that are long (or at least nvarchar(MAX)) automatically hide from the List.aspx page as is but are still visible on the Edit.aspx page. I would like to replicate this behaviour for other (shorter) columns. Is this possible? You can create a custom page for the particular table you want to change. There's an example here . Within your custom page, you can then set AutoGenerateColumns="false" within

Sorting by multiple fields using DisplayColumnAttribute in Asp.Net Dynamic Data App?

I've got a dynamic data app, and I want to sort based on multiple fields like so.. <DisplayColumn("FieldName", "Field1, Field2")> _ DisplayColumn doesn't seem to support more than one field? Aaron Hoffman The DisplayColumn attribute's SortColumn param specifies the column that will be used to sort this entity when it is used as a foreign key (ex: in a DropDownList), not when it is being sorted in the GridView (or being sorted in the DB). see SO here as well: ASP.NET Dynamic Data DisplayColumn Attribute Causing Sorting Issue msdn: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.componentmodel

i have select box where on change i need to grab the value and via remote function get some field names from db and then generate those field further down the form depwning on whatoption from the select box is chosen.
