Automating ClickOnce deployment with security (certificates, etc.) such that client installs the application without any prompt

问题 I just read Configuring ClickOnce Trusted Publishers and got it running at another computer on network. I deployed the application on network itself (that is, \\\abc\something ). Though I could not find certmgr.exe as part of Windows core component, as the article says (..so you will need to use the certificate management console (certmgr.exe) included in Windows..), I instead found it at "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\bin". It worked fine, but did I miss something? I mean,

问题 I have a Visual Studio 2008 ClickOnce solution that I am attempting to compile with "Sign Manifest" turned on. With this option checked, I am prompted for my PFX files password, and upon entering the correct password I receive the error: "Error Importing Key" / "Object already exists". How to prevent EF4 from dynamically loading all assemblies

问题 We use ClickOnce with dynamic assembly loading. I recently added an EF4 model to a "Model" project within the solution. The application must not use the app.config file for it's connection string, so I create the ObjectContext using an EntityConnection. The application logic works perfectly, however, when you create an instance of the ObjectContext when the application is deployed using ClickOnce, EF4 tries to dynamically load all of the associated assemblies to find the metadata. This forces

Unit testing security model ClickOnce

问题 I am fiddling around trying to install an application via ClickOnce - with certain minimum permissions. I'd like to unit test to assert that my application does not use any additional functionality disallowed by the wanted security policy. Can I in my unit test specify that I want to use the specified manifest to regulate permissions, make calls to my library and then assert that no security exceptions are thrown? If so, how? Thanks! 回答1: If you want to unit test (test in isolation) you have

问题 We have some special requirements: From our application, launch a ClickOnce application. It will download ClickOnce app to user's cache. After it's done, the main app needs to access some file downloaded into ClickOnce app folder. Is there any way for the main app to know the location of ClickOnce installation folder? Thanks, yyff 回答1: Assuming the Click1 app is yours, you could save to some more accesible location. Normally you can write to User\Documents for example. 回答2: You can do this by

Normal Setups in Visual Studio

问题 Just wondering if there's a way to make Visual Studio 2008 Express Edition generate normal exe files that are created by the installer for my app? I am sick of the ClickOnce application files. I had all these file associations setup and now that I need to actually have an installer for my apps, the file associations setup in the code don't work because now they're "ClickOnce" app files and not normal exe files. And no, VS does not create any exe files at all for ClickOnce apps. Any help is

How do I add prerequisites to a ClickOnce application?

问题 I want to add prerequisites to my Click Once application. Here is the problem. The program is in a server and clients install the application from the specific URL. Microsoft's application installer launches my ClickOnce application

问题 This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen. I wrote this application, which is deployed through ClickOnce. After installing my application, I tried to install this other tool, and instead of installing anything, my application launched. Then I uninstalled my application, cleared ClickOnce's cache by running rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache in CMD, and tried to install Microsoft's tool again, and my application's ClickOnce installer showed up. Any idea what in the world could cause this? 回答1

Slow startup of Clickonce winforms application after update

问题 We have a winforms application that is deployed to users through clickonce and uses the autoupdate functionality. What we have noticed is that for our users, it takes several minutes for the application to appear after a clickonce update occurs. The application executable is running during this time with fairly high cpu usage, but no windows are displayed. This is not reproducible on the developers' machines. There are 2 primary differences between the users' and the devs' machines: The users
