Setting the classpath in java using Eclipse IDE

I have an Eclipse project with an external folder containing a lot of JAR files (legacy libraries) . instead of adding all the jars in Eclipse ("add external Jar"), I would prefer to add a ref to this external folder. In the "configure build bath", I'm adding a "External Class Folder". If I'm doing that instead of adding the Jar, my program is not compiling anymore. Am I missing something on the way I should use this option ? Thanks Try this: Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Add Class Folder. If it doesnt work, please be specific in what way your compilation fails, specifically post

I am trying to add android-support-v7-appcompat to my project build path: This is what I have done: Right-click on my own project -> build path -> configure build path -> choose Android on the left column and then click "Add". I choose "android-support-v7-appcompat". This name appears then in the right column of the table, on the left appears the path where the library is located: C:\Program Files\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20131030\sdk\extras\android\support\v7\appcompat. And it has a beautiful green check mark on the left! I click Apply or Ok. Then I go to this screen again, but though the path

I added a Student.jar into my Build Path in my eclipse like this- Right click on the project->BuildPath->Configure Build Path->Libraries->Add External Jars There is one class named StudentTest in Student.jar file. When I was debugging my code in eclipse, I stepped into that StudentTest class in the Student.jar . And after that eclipse shows me like this- The JAR file S:\some_location\Student.jar has no source attachment. You can attach the source by clicking Attach Source below Now I am not sure how should I attach the source in my eclipse. And from where? Can anyone provide me step by step

问题 Seriously, i don't know what to do to solve this problem. My android project was working fine, until i needed to import a library with Maven. Since that, everything started to collapse. What is happening: When i start my application, the following error appears on LogCat and android tells that my app stopped working. I've searched for this similar error here AND on the rest of the internet, but everything people did haven't worked for me. Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to

问题 I have downloaded Eclipse and tried to create a sample servlet program but I got following error The type java.io.ObjectInputStream cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced from required .class files I have configured build path correctly. I am using Java 8 and Apache Tomcat 7 and libraries for both are referenced correctly. Problem is specifically for Java EE only. Ordinarily Java SE projects are running fine. 回答1: Something happened in Java 8 Update 91 that broke existing JSP code.

I'm confused with these two terms. Also what should I do to create a file under the src folder of a Spring MVC Project? When I create using a File object it creates the file inside C:\SpringSourceTool... I guess this is ClassPath right? How can I get the applicationcontext folder or root of the application whatever? The build path is used for building your application. It contains all of your source files and all Java libraries that are required to compile the application. The classpath is used for executing the application. This includes all java classes and libraries that are needed to run
