Just a tip to simplify the element properties: Use automatic properties with private set and avoid explicitly declaring the data field. e.g.

public class SampleElement {
  public SampleElement(Guid id, string name) {
    Id = id;
    Name = name;
  }

  public Guid Id {
    get; private set;
  }

  public string Name {
    get; private set;
  }
}
