问题 Using the following steps (taken from page 39 of " Pragmatic Guide to Subversion "): * Using Windows Explorer, right-drag the file to a different location in your working copy, and choose "SVN Move versioned item(s) here." * Commit your changes by right-clicking the base of your working copy and choosing SVN Commit... ...I moved several files into new folders I created within my project (Classes, Data, Forms). When I then re-loaded the project in Visual Studio and mashed F6, I got five of

TortoiseSVN: Is there any need for _svn instead of .svn anymore?

问题 A few years ago there was a bug involving ASP.NET and Tortoise/AnkhSvn (can't remember the details), and the solution was to set Tortoise to use "_svn" instead of ".svn" folders for its hidden local files. There's an option for it on the Tortoise settings dialog. So I still need to do that, or is it not an issue anymore? 回答1: This feature is controlled by an SVN_ASP_DOT_NET_HACK environnment variable, from which I think it is safe to say that the only reason it existed was to solve the

Setting commit author in SharpSvn .NET library throws SvnRepisitoryIOException exception

问题 If you have experience with using the SharpSvn .NET library, I could use your expertise in setting the commit author during an SVN commit. I've tried a few things, but they all throw an SvnRepisitoryIOException unless the user is saved in TortoiseSVN. However, I want to use different user credentials depending on the situation. If I've saved a user's default credentials, TortoiseSVN remembers them in Settings > Saved Data > Authenticated Data, and is able to commit a file using that

Could not connect to SVN Repository. Could not resolve hostname

问题 I try connect to SVN Repository and get SvnRepositoryIOException : Could not resolve hostname: The requested name is valid, but no data of the requested type was found. The same error when I try commit or update project or using TortoiseSVN. We use kerio, but I think it's something else, because another computer with similar settings can connect successful. I tried everything. I am thinking reset my operating system already. Do you have any ideas? 回答1: If both SVN clients give the same result

Multiple Subversion clients and TortoiseSVN

问题 I installed Subversion 1.5.x and then TortoiseSVN 1.6.x. All was fine using the 1.5.x command line utility exclusively. After becoming comfortable with svn for awhile, I then used the TortoiseSVN client to make a commit, which worked, but the command line client now gives me a client too old, get a newer client error on all commands. 1 - Did I corrupt my working copy? I don't think so, as TortoiseSVN works fine. 2 - I think I just have to download the 1.6.x command line client and use this if

Tortoisesvn doesn't recognize changed files after update

问题 After I updated my tortoise-svn client, I haven't been able to commit. I have modified some files, but for some reason it seems like subversion does not see these changes, so when I try and commit, I get the message that nothing has changed so there is nothing to commit. when I compare the files with TortoiseMerge, there IS a difference. What is wrong and how do I fix it? 回答1: I observed such behavior when the working copy was located on a network drive. 回答2: Have a look at the FAQ. 回答3:

AnkhSVN keeps marking .designer.cs files as newly added

问题 Since I upgraded from VS2012 to VS2013 I have an issue with my AnkhSVN plugin. Every time there is a change in a .designer.cs file this file will get marked as "new" instead of "changed". If I try to make a commit it will say that the file is already under version control and can not be added and then it completely breaks everything. This behaviour is somehow new in combination with VS2013. I tried to both upgrade my TortoiseSVN client as well as my AnkhSVN plugin to the latest version but

SVN commit error: “'.' is not a working copy”

问题 I can SVN-update and browse the repository just fine. The .svn directory exists in every folder across the checked out code tree. Only commit is broken for some reason. Any idea what could cause this? 回答1: Make sure your working copy is not in the drive root but at least one folder below the drive root. 回答2: Try Clean Up menu option. 回答3: Make sure you cd or right-click the correct folder. 来源: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/3197963/svn-commit-error-is-not-a-working-copy

SVN and renaming the server it's running on

问题 I'm running VisualSVN as my SVN server and using TortoiseSVN as the client. I've just renamed the server from mach1 to mach2 and now can't use SVN because it's looking for the repositories at http://mach1:81/ instead of the new name http://mach2:81/ Any idea how to fix this? 回答1: Use the "relocate" option provided by Tortoise SVN. Just right click on the upper-most checked out folder, select relocate, and then enter the new URL. 回答2: Just change the address of the svn repository using switch

Pending changes in AnkhSVN only shows files from current solution

问题 I'm working under a single repository and mostly in one solution. However, during the work on the solution I do change other files as well, when I come to commit, however, AnkhSVN only shows the files that are part of the solution. That forces me to use TortoiseSVN to do the commit on the whole directory, which in turn misses some of the files that I added with AnkhSVN. The simplest solution to this would be if AnkhSVN showed me ALL the pending changes for the repository. A worse alternative
