问题 I've created a svn repository on a linux computer. For this repository I've also created a working copy named myfirstproject . In order to get the URL of it I've typed in " svn info". The answer was "svn://localhost/myfirstproject". Now I want to approach this working copy from windows computer. I've tried doing it via netbeans for the first time and tortoiseSVN as well. I've tried to approach svn://my_server_domainName/myfirstproject , but it was failed. what should I suppose to do? Is there

问题 I have checkout code from svn the repository was remote and is dead now, can I use it to create new SVN repository with history? If yes, how can I do it? If no, what are the other best way to handle this kind of situation? Thanks in advance. 回答1: As @Thilo already mentioned, An SVN checkout does not contain the history. The best you can hope for is a consistent, complete, somewhat recent snapshot of the latest state of the trunk. In order to create a new repository with the same history as

Merging Branch in TortoiseSVN with history

问题 I am working in a simple repository, with a truck and one branch. No change s have been made to the trunk since the branch, and a number of commits have been made on the branch. How do I merge the branch back into the trunk so that I get the full history included changes while it was in the branch in one history? 回答1: Usually in Subversion, one merges whole ranges into a single commit, like a squash merge in git: svn merge -r[REVISION1]:[REVISION2] svn://[REPO-URL]/[BRANCH] [TRUNK-DIR] Since

问题 Ok, so I'm still getting used to this SVN business. I basically took a dump in my repository right around New Years. I thought it would be a good idea to restructure my website's codebase in preparation for implementing some OOP changes. The only problem was, in my foolishness, I did this directly in My Computer rather than through my IDE. The next commit was FUBAR... so I committed again, and again.. and well, yeah basically just took a dump in my repository. SO, having beaten my repository

SVN - Committing externals on commit of main trunk

问题 Short and sweet: I have one project with an external, which allows me to commit changes to files in that external alongside changes to the main trunk in one operation: I have another project with an external, which does not allow me to commit changes alongside the main trunk: The most obvious difference is that the second external is checked out to a compound directory, but other than that I cannot find a difference that would, to miy mind, be preventing SVN from committing everything

svn dump -> path rename via windows powershell -> struggle with malformed dumpfile header

问题 The title says it all :) What i want is to dump a folder from one project and store it into another. Both folders (src: proj1/trunk/supplies, dest: extlibs/trunk) are in the same repository. My problem is that the when i load the "normal" dumpfile, the previous folder's path is kept and will be recreated at the new location (extlibs/trunk/proj1/trunk/supplies). So i've tried to change the path manually with win7 powershell: svnrdump dump https://localghost/svn/test_repo/proj1/trunk/supplies |

问题 When i take update on one svn folder it shows latest revision at which update is taken as Completed At revision:116 But when i do show log on that folder it shows latest revision number as 100 in history. My question why both revision numbers are not in synch ? For information :- when i execute below command to see if there is any change b/w revision 100 and 116, i see diff.txt created with no content svn diff -r 100:116 > diff.txt 回答1: Subversion revisions are global per repository Log for

问题 We're a small team and we need to deploy a small, simple and easy to maintain VCS. In past we've been using ftp based sharing where we shared zip of source, we need to improve it. I've been looking for a VCS but not sure how it'll blend into our remote server based environment, most of them are best with intranet. Environment : We've a Rackspace remove server and team is connected through internet. We work on ASP.Net. Here're a few options I've come across - Git / Github tortoisesvn.net http:
