问题 I'm making an audio player app. In apple's Music app, if music album or podcast doesn't have artwork, musical note image or podcast icon image are shown instead of artwork. I want to do same thing. Can I use images in apple's Music app for my app? Will apple reject my app? Do I have to create images of musical note and podcast icon by my self? Or is it recommended to use apple's images for my app for user experience? I also want to use history icon, podcast icon, and audiobook icon which are

I am trying to upload an update for an app on App Store using Application Loader. I am getting the following error. ERROR ITMS-90062: "This bundle is invalid. The value for key CFBundleShortVersionString [1.0.0] in the Info.plist file must contain a higher version than that of the previously approved version [1.0.0]." I thought the CFBundleShortVersionString was allowed to remain the same, but the build number (or "Bundle Version/CFBundleVersion"), should increment on each build. Is this because the version label (CFBundleShortVersionString) has to increment on each approved version? Meaning

Why did my app get rejected because “Multitasking apps may only use background”?

I tested my app in the background by setting the alarm and watching a video, and my alarm was correctly ringing when I was watching the video. Even when I removed my app from the background the alarm was ringing. Now I wonder if I correct understood Apple's reply. Can any one decode the reply? We found that your app uses a background mode but does not include functionality that requires that mode to run persistently. This behavior is not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. We noticed your app declares support for audio in the UIBackgroundModes key in your Info.plist, but no

I have an hybrid application, it's basically a website running from the application folder inside a UIWebview. The problem is that I was planning to update my website by downloading the whole website from internet and then replacing the old website. Today I found that Apple now provides the App Store Review Guidelines and among others there are the following rules: 2.7 Apps that download code in any way or form will be rejected 2.8 Apps that install or launch other executable code will be rejected Because my site has html, css and javascript, does that mean that my app will be rejected or is

Using a Java library in an Objective-C Mac app, and putting that app on the Mac App Store

问题 I've been researching this problem for a while now, and have not yet arrived at a clear answer. I am writing a Mac OSX application that I intend to eventually put on the app store, and while I will be able to write most of it in Objective-C, I do need to call methods from a library that is only available in Java. I have 2 questions: From what I have read, it seems like JNI (using the Invocation API) is the only acceptable way of doing this (even though Apple deprecated the use of Java in Mac

My company is offering a service to our clients which we would like to implement on iphone. Our clients would be paying $5000 per month for the service, so they can give it free of charge to their customers. We have been looking (so far with no success) for a distribution method where we can sell our service to our clients, and they can give it to their customers, without charging the end users and without paying the 30% distribution fees to Apple. We did our research and found that non of the convenient solutions would work for us: Putting the app for free download on the App store,
