linux--mysql忘记root登录密码

今天想登录一下mysql时，突然忘记了密码。试了很多个常用密码，没反应，找了一下，还好可以解决。。

# /etc/init.d/mysql stop
# mysqld_safe --user=mysql --skip-grant-tables --skip-networking &
# mysql -u root mysql
mysql> UPDATE user SET Password=PASSWORD('newpassword') where USER='root';
mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
mysql> quit
# /etc/init.d/mysql restart
# mysql -uroot -p
Enter password: <输入新设的密码newpassword>
