I am using the PHP code supplied by Detect Mobile Browsers for server-side redirection, which works well, but I'm looking to have a 'Back to Desktop' link. Of course, this will cause an infinite loop and the user would never be able to visit the desktop site.
So, is there a solution out here for this? I understand that you'd have to use cookies, which is fine, but any help with this would be appreciated.

Add another check. Lets say have a $_GET variable named n then you can tell your redirect script to only redirect if that preg_match is true and also n is not equal to 1. And when you link them "Back to desktop" then add "?n=1" to your link

yeah, you should use cookies. So the file where the "desktop mode" link goes to should be added some bunch of codes to create a cookie

the code will check if the cookie is available or not, if the cookie is available then the mobile detection won't be executed. But if there is no cookie then the mobile detection is executed
