I would do this by reshaping your data
First sort out the class of the variables and add grouping variables

You are using Lattice PKG that depends on grid PKG so you need to use windowing of Grid PKG as instructed in Lattice: multiple plots in one window?. The ggplot2 is never used in the code. You can do the 2x2 window with grid.arrange
command.
