I have a quirky problem -- I'm sending an html email that contains some image mapped links.
My problem surrounds Gmail and Safari.
Strangely, emails when view from Gmail (and their image maps) function fine in Firefox, IE, and Chrome. But, for some reason -- none of these same image mappws links work when viewed with Safari.
I'd first like to know why -- and then secondly, what's the best approach to overcome the problem.
Thank,

Hey rsturim, I'm not sure why either - but I don't think there's a good way to overcome it given the way this article addresses it: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/blog/post/2432/do-image-maps-work-in-html-ema/ So this is a known issue, but it hasn't been resolved for years.

Although this blog contradicts saying that Gmail does in fact now support Image maps. Apprently it was implemented in 2010 sometime.

I'm in the middle of looking into this tag for an email design as we speak so a bit confused as to whether it will work or not at the moment. I guess the only way will be actually trying it.
