三组视角看IoT物联网(Multiple IoT Visions is different)

As stakeholders, business alliances, research and standardization bodies differently approach the issue depending on their specific interests, finalities and backgrounds, there are multiple IoT visions with substantial differences.

The Internet of Things(IoT) sematically means "a world-wide network of interconnected objects uniquely addressable, based on standard communication protocols"

Three vision for IoT, which are converged sometimes.

Vision One: Network-Oriented(Internet-Oriented)

This vision focuses on communication. It connects a huge amount of communicating devices, make anytime, anyplace connectivity for anyone to anytime, anyplace connectivity for anything. An example is incorporation of IEEE 802.15.4 into ip architecture with 6LowWPAN

Vision Two: Things-Oriented

This vision focuses on hardware, object visibility, such as traceability, status awareness and augmentation intelligence. It has required capabilities as autonomous and proactive behavior, collaborative communications and elaboration.

Vision Three: Sematic-Oriented

This vision focuses on computing and sematic presentation. It contains many sections, such as sematic engine, virtualization, context awareness and reasoning. The data process from raw data to information, experience and lead to wisdom. Virtualization links physical world with virtual objects. Artificial intelligence is used for reasoning deduction

Currently, I think most IoT solutions are still on vision one or two, only convergence among the three sectional visions, we can create a powerful benefit from IoT for our living.
