jQuery UI Accordion activate

I'm not getting how to do this, or if I can do this. I have a jQuery UI Accordion, multiple sections with each section containing multiple anchor tags each with a unique string id. I'd like to be able to have the accordion open to where a particular element with a given id is. Like say id "item117". Can I use something like $('#accordion').activate('activate','#item117'); or even $('#accordion').activate('activate',117); I've tried those and some variations but can't get it to go. In the case I was trying to get working, the accordion should've opened to the end of the second section. I'm

Dynamically adding and refreshing elements to the Accordion widget in jQuery UI

Several questions here on SO reference this open jQuery UI feature request for the ability to dynamically add/remove panels from the Accordion widget. The ticket itself is marked (closed feature: fixed) and from what I can tell from the unit tests and a pull from their Git repository it appears to be implemented in the latest release. However if I try to add a div like they did in the unit test above: var element = $("#accordion"); $("#accordion").append("<h3>3</h3><div>3</div>"); $("#accordion").accordion("refresh"); I can't get it to work. However this method works: $("#accordion").append("

Twitter Bootstrap: How to create a dropdown button with an accordion inside it?

In Twitter Bootstrap, I am trying to create a button dropdown with an accordion inside it. the purpose is to present a long list of items in a concise form (i.e. avoid long scroll-downs by the user). the straightforward way of including an accordion div inside a dropdown div does not work..: <div class="dropdown"> <a data-toggle="dropdown" href="#">Dropdown trigger</a> <div class="dropdown-menu" role="menu" aria-labelledby="dLabel" id="accordion"> <h3>Unit 1</h3> <div> <p>item a</p> <p>item b</p> </div> <h3>Unit 2</h3> <div> <p>item c</p> <p>item d</p> <p>item e</p> </div> </div> </div> Any

Add items to a jQuery Accordion with jquery

I am using the jQuery accordion plugin to make an accordion of some data. Then I want the user to be able to add more data to the accordian. I have setup the accordion to function properly, then I've made a function that prepends a "list item" to the accordion that matches the accordion semantics. Is it possible to "update" the accordion so that it works with the newly added element, without saving the new data to database and refreshing the page? Something like this: .accordion('refresh') Or something like the live event added in jQuery 1.3, anybody got a clue? Jimmy Stenke I haven't tested

How can I make the jquery UI accordion start collapsed when the form loads. Is there any javascript code for this? topek In your options specify: { ... active: false, collapsible: true, ... } See documentation for active . I was trying to do the same thing. Using Jquery UI tabs. I wanted none to show with 5 tabs when you start. using active: false showed the 5th tabs content. So I set tabs CSS to display:none; since it in-line changes display. Hope this helps someone! <script> $(function() { $( "#tabs" ).tabs({ active: false, collapsible: true, }); }); And in the style #tabs-1, #tabs-2, #tabs

I'm searching for a jQuery accordion like the one that can be found on the avg website with no luck, so I'm hoping someone here can point me into the right direction. To source code or an example. I already have the accordion working but it's the read more/close feature that is missing and that I want to use. const moreText = "Read more"; const lessText = "Read less"; const moreButton = $("button.readmorebtn"); moreButton.click(function() { const $this = $(this); $this.text($this.text() == moreText ? lessText : moreText).next(".more").slideToggle("fast"); }); <script src="https://ajax
