How can I execute multiple, simultaneous jquery effects?

I am animating some error/validation elements on a page. I want them to bounce and be highlighted, but at the same time if possible. Here's what I'm currently doing: var els = $(".errorMsg"); els.effect("bounce", {times: 5}, 100); els.effect("highlight", {color: "#ffb0aa"}, 300); This causes the elements to first bounce, and THEN be highlighted, and I'd like them to occur simultaneously. I know that with .animate() you can specify queue:false in the options, but I don't want to use animate because the pre-built effects "bounce" and "highlight" are exactly what I want. I have tried simply

I have a Panel In my C# form and I have a button. When I click on the Button the invisible Panel Shows. Instead of that I want the Panel to move in or slide in. For example when you click on a combobox the dropdown list doesnt just pop in. I want my Panel to appear like that. How can I do that ? Window animation is a built-in feature for Windows. Here's a class that uses it: using System; using System.ComponentModel; using System.Windows.Forms; using System.Runtime.InteropServices; public static class Util { public enum Effect { Roll, Slide, Center, Blend } public static void Animate(Control

How to create fireworks particle graphics effect on android

问题 Anybody has any idea how to make a fireworks effect by drawing on canvas? There is one nice example in wireworks live wallpaper (free app). There, many points move and leave trails in a star like explosion and gradually disappear. I think that there is some kind of motion blur on each point moving, which I am not sure how to create. Any ideas or links to relevant examples are welcome. 回答1: That's a very abstract (and interesting) question but far too complex to answer in details. What you're

jQuery “blinking highlight” effect on div?

问题 I'm looking for a way to do the following. I add a <div> to a page, and an ajax callback returns some value. The <div> is filled with values from the ajax call, and the <div> is then prepended to another <div> , which acts as a table column. I would like to get the user's attention, to show her/him that there is something new on the page. I want the <div> to blink, not show/hide, but to highlight/unhighlight for some time, lets say 5 seconds. I have been looking at the blink plugin, but as

iOS SceneKit Neon Glow

问题 Have been looking at lighting on Scenekit, and while I can now apply a lighting node to light something I'm looking for a way to light from within an object. As an example imagine a neon glow, or a lightbulb that casts light on other objects. Any ideas how to achieve this? Many thanks. 回答1: As @DavidRönnqvist hints in comments, there are multiple ways to make an object appear to glow. You can do these together or individually — you'll probably need to tweak how you combine them to get the

I want to fade out an element and all its child elements after a delay of a few seconds. but I haven't found a way to specify that an effect should start after a specified time delay. swilliams setTimeout(function() { $('#foo').fadeOut(); }, 5000); The 5000 is five seconds in milliseconds. Simon_Weaver I use this pause plugin I just wrote $.fn.pause = function(duration) { $(this).animate({ dummy: 1 }, duration); return this; }; Call it like this : $("#mainImage").pause(5000).fadeOut(); Note: you don't need a callback. Edit: You should now use the jQuery 1.4. built in delay() method. I haven't

Does jQuery have a plugin to display a “message bar” like the Twitter “wrong password” bar at the top of screen?

问题 Twitter will pop down a message bar at the top of the screen say "Wrong password" and after 10 seconds, it will slide up and disappear. Chrome also shows "Do you want to save the password" message box using such a way. Does jQuery have a plug in to do that already? Does it also work in IE 6? Because usually, the display of relative to the viewport (using position: fixed ) will not work on IE 6. thanks. Update: thanks for the nice solutions -- I deliberately wanted it to work (1) even when the

How to attach callback to jquery effect on dialog show?

问题 My problem is that I do not know how to attach callback to the jquery ui dialog show. The show is actually an option: $( \".selector\" ).dialog({ show: \'slide\' }); I want to have a callback after the slide animation is complete. I looked from the effects itself and they have a callback: effect( effect, [options], [speed], [callback] ) But in the dialog the effect is set up very differently. I tried also putting: $( \".selector\" ).dialog({ show: \'slide\', callback: function() {} }); But it
