Accidently removed postgres default superuser privileges - can I get it back?

问题 From inside Webmin I accidently unmarked the checkbox "Can create databases?" and "Can create users?" Stupid, I know. But since it takes a user with superuser privileges to edit/create a user, is there a way to fix this from the linux terminal? I know it's possible to reset a password, but I haven't been able to find out how to reset the default superuser postgres' roles/privileges. Is this even possible or do I have to do a reinstall? 回答1: there's a single-user mode where you always have

Configuring Apache Cassandra for Disaster Recovery

问题 How do you configure Apache Cassandra to allow for disaster recovery, to allow for one of two data-centres to fail? The DataStax documentation talks about using a replication strategy that ensures at least one replication is written to each of your two data-centres. But I don't see how that helps once the disaster has actually happened. If you switch to the remaining data-centre, all your writes will fail because those writes will not be able to replicate to the other data-centre. I guess you

I guess you would want your software to operate in two modes: normal mode, for which writes must replicate across

Recovering Git repository from objects only

I have a Windows box which has taken it into it's head to delete most of a Git repository (must have tripped the Important Work Detector ;). All I have left (that I can find) is the objects. I'm not sure how complete the collection of objects is, either. Is it possible to recover things from just the objects? As far as I can tell, the object tree is intact. All the packs and loose objects are in place; I just don't have the metadata to convince Git. The first thing that I would try is to initialize a new repository with git init . Then I'd copy the objects directory from the dead repository
