Once Atom editor installed, I cannot insert space in Atom editor, in Ubuntu shell, and emacs buffer, how to investigate?

My problem that, once I have Atom or Atom based editor, such as VSCode installed, I cannot insert space in my Ubuntu shell, nor do in emacs buffer, maybe not in Atom\'s buff
