Why not any CPU has two program counters/Instruction pointers even though it has multiple cores?

is there any CPU(Intel/ARM...) with 2 instruction pointers(I mean in single CPU) ?. It is good have 2 PCs/IPs to fetch faster, since already all CPUs have more cores to exe
