Is Xcode's SDKs/MacOSX.sdk Symlink a Documented Feature

Question

In a build script, I use /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform/Developer/SDKs/MacOSX.sdk to find the most recent MacOSX SDK. MacO
