Which one is good ? Installing Kubernetes on GCP existing VM instance OR use Google Kubernetes Engine(GKE)

I am a newbie in Kubernetes. I have hosted my microservice application on the GCP VM instance. I want to use kubernate for deploying, managing, and scaling my applications.
