How come is that my country does not support alphanumeric Sender ID MSGs and yet I can receive messages with Sender ID name on 'em?

While I was reading through Twilio list of countries who are supporting alphanumeric Sender ID, I found my country to be not supporting This alphanumeric Sender ID and yet I
