Expressjs 4.17.1 route parameter regex doesn't work as expected

Question

I\'m trying to figure out why the regex I\'m using doesn\'t work in expressjs.

        expressApp.post("/machine/:machineId([0-9a-zA-Z-]{16})/user/:userI
