connection = MySQLdb.Connect(host='**', user='**', passwd='**', db='**')

query = "LOAD DATA INFILE '/path/to/my/file' INTO TABLE sometable FIELDS TERMINATED BY ';' ENCLOSED BY '\"' ESCAPED BY '\\\\'"
