When you call Bitmap SkimmedImgData = (Bitmap) data.getExtras().get("data");, and then set the image using SkimmedImageImg.setImageBitmap(SkimmedImgData);, you're only setting the thumbnail of the image you took, this is why the quality is so distorted.
