You should be using TryParseExact as you seem to have the format fixed in your case.

Something like can also work for you

DateTime.ParseExact([yourdatehere],
                    new[] { "dd/MM/yyyy", "dd/M/yyyy" },
                    CultureInfo.InvariantCulture,
                    DateTimeStyles.None);
