Array.reduce should do what you're asking for. Just change the if statement depending on which range you want.

var excludeAfterIndex = 5;

feed.reduce((mappedArray, item, index) => {
  if (index > excludeAfterIndex) { // Whatever range condition you want
    mappedArray.push();
  }

  return mappedArray;
}, []);
