You can set the body as well, but you have to escape the string.

NSString *sms = @"sms://+1234567890&body=This is the body.";

NSString *url = [sms stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];
[[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[NSURL URLWithString:url]];
